Ed was my favorite and it was the hard rock fans that help build VH however they grew tired and lost that anger and became happy which shows mostly with the Hagar years. There was never any hard rock songs such as the first 4 albums after Roth left. The real shame is he didn’t make a hard rock blues type album and I say that because Zakk Wylde did and aged gracefully in his music without sounding like a pop band. Eddie had it in him yet never knew how well that would have reached everyone. I heard Eddie playing the blues on Toto’s Draw the line and Ed was so smooth yet even though it was a slow bluesy song he still had a hard rock edge. A good example would be little dreamer and Fools. I could listen to that sound all day

Great episode Adam ,Steve & Chris . So glad my ears didn't deceive me , as felt that hearing "Unfinished " was circa 1995-2000 . How brilliantly interesting . How I would love to hear these tracks recorded with Gary.C. Bizarre that Warner Bros , declined twice on the album !!!! .

So basically, there are like 5 versions of this song. A set of lyrics by: Sammy (Closer to You), Ballard "Between Us Two", Fairbairn, Cherone (Only Chris knows the title), and the instrumental "Unfinished" from Alex. And now it all makes sense why Alex didn't mention Sammy's name in the book and why he doesn't like him. It was about this song!

I also wish that Soundwise would let us make comments when using the website and not the app. It's kind of a bummer but I'm just happy to have the audiobook! :)

So great to see Chris and Steve on the same screen! It's amazing to see how this one song in all of it's different iterations was basically the downfall of the Van Hagar era. I'm sure there was more to it that had been building over time because it's usually never "one" thing that breaks up a band or a any relationship, for that matter. It's never about how you squeeze the toothpaste. lol. I do hope one day we can hear the Cherone version of this song. But until then, we'll just have to wonder. Thanks Adam, Chris and Steve! xo

As I catch up on the podcasts I missed while in hospital, I am BLOWN AWAY to see this one Adam! Glenn Hughes!! Wow! Burn is one of my ALL TIME favorite records and the song "Burn" one of my top 10 songs of all time! I do recall watching Glenn Hughes perform at the Royal Albert Hall on youtube and was blown away as Rick Wakeman was on keys, my #1 fav keyboardist. They are all #Legends!
