Seattle Washington - Top Safest Neighborhoods in 2023!
Seattle bites, it really is not the nice place it used to be. It is also full of liberals who think the place should be run like NYC and California. yes they will assault you in broad day light and your car is never safe. If I knew it was going to be like this I would have left town ten years ago. It is mondo expensive. All the great businesses are being run out also. BTW I live in a great house and have a business and I love it here.
this was released on my birthday
I’m from there. Every winter wind storms happen with rain too. You are at risk of home damage and property damage if there are ample very large trees around you. The one thing outsiders don’t know to do or beginner home owners in king county beyond Seattle don’t do, that causes disastrous outcomes for you or your neighbors, is getting your large trees in your yard inspected. It is an absolute must to get them inspected and encourage your neighbors to do so as well every 2-3 years. Inspecting trees and knowing if parts need cutting or if it’s in not great health is highly highly advised because those trees in not as great shape are typically the trees that fall. If wind storms happen, stay on the lowest level until it passes to avoid a deathly outcome.
To be honest, this person does not know anything about Bellevue and the people who live here. All 5 "negatives" are in fact positives and Bellevue people love it as it is. Why would I cry about the fact that my home is expensive? Do I care about others who can't afford such, not being able to move here? Nope! Just say it as it is, don't go around the bush! How about the fact that you don't see homeless and if you do, they are only here because they are lost and look for a way out? How about our police is doing it's job? Wild entertainment??? Go to freaking' Vegas if you want to disturb other people's lives! You do understand that people who live in Bellevue, do so by choice, don't you? Let me put is so that even you could understand: If you are having a relaxed life in Bellevue, you can have the same anywhere in the world (almost)! Cheers!
Lynnwood is a city growing fast! It will be the next Bellevue
Would having Dumbocrats in charge have anything to do with this ?
Seattle is great, I moved from St Louis Missouri (murder capital) and Seattle is the most safest city I've ever been to
1.3 million isn’t even possible. PS I live in Issaquah in Talus
Always on the video where you talking to two girls and talking about the city of Edmond, you didn’t show any Resturant pictures or pictures of the city at all
Oh my long lost friend Janis Denis...where are you???
I don’t like Charlotte MC Is bored
The police district changes between the shopping area by Fauntleroy and White Center (north is better funded), so that's one reason why the nearby neighborhoods to the south are worse. Also, gun violence happens around that shopping area bc of the bus stops around there making it easy to show up and get away quickly.
lol thank u for the video btw
Lived in the area for over 30 years, my wife and I moved to Southern Oregon five years ago- never going back! You don’t realize how much the bad weather and traffic affects your life until you leave. You only slightly touched on the bad drivers, truly Seattle has some of the worst drivers in the country. The software industry up there has attracted a massive influx of people from countries where people don’t drive resulting in thousands of new drivers over 34-40 years old. It’s really frustrating. Also- you’ve had one of the worst Governors in the country over the last 12 years!
It doesn’t rain that much honestly. Youngstown Ohio gets more rain yearly
❤
I lived in Seattle back in 2018 for 4 months, and I think to move again from Israel. I wanted a smaller suburb that is safer and has better community feel. It could be a bit hard going to a community that is already formed, but it seems like a welcoming space.
keep them away. I'm so down with that.
Moved to Tampa Florida this year.
One of my fave cities to visit. Odd that the 10 or so times I’ve visited the PNW and Seattle specifically, the weather was luckily mostly beautiful. Living in the Bay Area, Seattle traffic is relatively tame. Proximity to BC and Vancouver isn’t bad either.
I’ve lived in Chicago land, my whole life and I gotta say I’m so sick of the extreme cold the extreme heat. Honestly I could use some cloudy days when it’s sunny. It’s too sunny it’s ridiculous. There’s no places for shade anywhere either. I’m definitely ready for some culture change. Do you wanna be in a beautiful area anywhere in the Pacific Northwest. By the way, thank you for the video I feel like you’re very genuine from the heart
I grew up there, live in Idaho now in high school and I will be moving back next year for college
My Aunt and Uncle had a beautiful home in Linwood and we visited several times in my youth. I remember the rain but I also remember his wonderful rose bushes. All different colors and the smell was awesome. I remember going to Horatio Hornblower's for dinner and then watching July 4th Fireworks. I was so impressed with the city and the lifestyle/food. My uncle also had a boat and a small cabin on a little island and we went ocean fishing, which none of us Canadians had ever done. That trip is one of my fondest memories. Cheers.
Bro I live in issaquah these are all lies
Accurate 🎉
Omg! Soooo true: the drivers here SUCK! Not sure what makes them so idiotic and inept. Maybe the legalized dope? Anyway, prepare yourself for the worst drivers in the nation!
Apparently the Seattle metro area has more than 16k coffee shops.Lots of independent coffee shops as well, not just boring Starbucks. Also Seattle is famous for smoked salmon sushi and delicious clam chowder. Can be enjoyed indoors regardless of the "rain."
I left WA in 1995 and never looked back. 100% ZERO REGRETS.
As a Bothell native most of this information is false. Be better Toba!!
In comparison to other places west of the Mississippi it’s great. Compared to the east coast it’s pretty lame. Unless you’re into mountain climbing and all that outdooorsy stuff. I tried but I just don’t care about the mountains lol
Help me to find a job in siaro please
I live in South Seattle. 1) The summers are spectacular here. Plenty of sun from May to October. She is wrong! Seattle is not even top 30 cities for total rainfall. Facts are facts! 2) She's right about the traffic. It's horrific! 3) Just like anywhere - people are people. There are very friendly people and not so friendly people. Moved here 4 years ago from Detroit and have no problem meeting new friends. 4) Homeless is a definite issue - even in the 'Burbs 5) Cost of living is outrageous! Housing costs (whether you buy or lease) is out of control! 6) Politics? pffft! I'm a Liberal and I love Florida and Texas. I refuse not to live in an area simply because people don't view the world as I do. One thing I have noticed that organized religion is not a major way of life in Western Washington.
#7 is fascinating , as my daughter recently moved to Seattle , and said this exact thing , and she could not understand
thanks! great videos
Watched this video tonight and as a native, I have to ask why you left AZ…. Cost of living should have been #1… The “polictics”… really?… Yep. Liberal here and not something to hate. Ever heard of “when in Rome…”? Seriously, AZ is still there to return to.
Wouldnt a con be the mariners underachieving 😂😂😂.
Nowhere to live anymore 😢 been CA FL NV CA FL NC FL AZ FL AR OK OR FL NC FL 😢 crime, drugs, migrants, low wages, high rents, rude people. USA sucks
Onnoxious, privileged drivers make 405 a death-defying experience. Pseudo-conservatives and snobs make it fun...
why you talk like that
High paying jobs but expensive city/state.
Yes, it is simple math higher paying jobs. Higher cost rent higher cost food. The store clerk has to pay more to his employees. He has to charge more for his food the apartments how to make more money because the wages are getting higher and they have to pay their people more money. It’s a vicious circle isn’t it. My solution is to lower the cost of wage just lower the cost of running and lower the cost of everything the way that it used to be you know maybe you make less money but your money is gonna go further. As long as we just keep going up, everything else is gonna keep going up $2000 for an apartment that’s insane. What about people are retired living on a fixed income what are they going to do You know especially if there’s a bunch of seniors or older people that’s just crazy no, I think I’ll just stay here in Texas. I got a nice one bedroom apartment 650 ft.² and I only pay $909 a month plus my utility electric they pick up sewer and water. It’s a lot cheaper than up there. I don’t even want to think what a 600 square-foot apartment there would cost. Yeah Texas hesitant heat but then again the sun isn’t all bad either.
I lived in Seattle Washington for 10 years. And I really did like it the transportation at least in the areas that I live was really really good close to the downtown area. But one thing that I did notice when I was in Seattle, it seemed like I was having a lot of lung infections a lot of bronchitis a lot of Sickness in that direction when I moved down south all that seemed to disappear. Yeah, it’s extremely hot out here, but maybe the dryer heat made a difference from the humidity in the rain and the dampness all the time. However the dampness in the rain and humidity did wonderful for my hair and skin. I guess it’s a trader. But I’m going back to Seattle on 16 October to visit my kids who live up there a good reason to move back though it is very expensive Trying to find a senior apartment is extremely hard at least when it’s affordable, especially if you’re on a fixed income, but we’ll see give our best shot
3:23 this guy is taking a pic of you for walking around cap hill talking to your phone 👀
Thanks for featuring the neighborhood! Without wanting to be a negative Nelly RUclips commenter, there's a whole lot of corrections needed to your opening 2 minutes. Wedgwood is spelled without the "e" in the middle. This is important because the name actually comes from the fine Wedgwood china line made by English potter Josiah Wedgwood (fun fact! Josiah Wedgwood was Charles Darwin's grandpa and was one of England's most vocal abolishinists!). The wife of the developer who initially platted and developed Wedgwood gave us the name since she really liked that china line. So, the neighborhood isn't named after the Wedgwood rock, a glacial erratic (big rock) deposited by the Vashon ice sheet. You also suggest that there was a proposal to rezone part of the neighborhood from single family to commercial. That's actually not possible in Seattle under its current zoning code and comprehensive plan. But, yes, there have been developments and proposals over the years that the neighborhood has actively engaged around, but that scenario isn't one. You may be surprised to hear that Wedgwood may actually be the only neighborhood (not sure about this) that has actually developed its own neighborhood plan with support from the city which actually recommended upzoning and for a modest increase in density. You can search for it at Future 35th Ave Plan! In fact, it was the neighborhoods requested upzone that was informative to the type and extent of rezone in Wedgwood that was ultimately included in the City's citywide rezone that went through in 2019 as part of the Mandatory Housing Affordability Act. Overall though, thanks for featuring the neighborhood.
No fashion here/ People dress really frumpy or like they're ready to go hiking. There's a limited supply of places to get cool clothes and downtown is a sh*thole. The weather in the summer is great and the wintertime doesn't get too cold. People are nice but not friendly and it's hard to make friends. Also, drugs, homelessness, car theft, and home break-ins are getting worse. It's extremely expensive and very, very liberal.
I liked this video. May the Algorithm be kind to you.
Move 14 months ago to mid west . Miss the great weather and convenience of getting stuff. But not the liberal crap and expense that goes along with it. And we have no homeless. We have plastic bags and straws! Seattle on the list of dying city. I suggest visit and leave . Sell and move you be so glad to be away from the liberal crap!
Less annual rainfall than LA.. downpours verses continuous drizzle
Roll on July 5th
Pee and poop smell in downtown streets,Capitolhill,Belltown,Ballard,ChinaTown, homelessness, drugs, burglary, racism and unfriendliness.
i remember there was a owner of a place it was a slice of the building the owners name was geraldine wonder if her decendence started that
