Rush Manhattan Project Live in Dallas 2012 Clockwork Angels Tour
Просмотров 88 тыс.10 лет назад
Neil Peart was very happy in his letter, addressing the topic that talks about research and manufacture of nuclear weapons during World War II. ally subject to extraordinary instruments Lee, Lifeson and Peart
chit voice of Geddy Lee made me end this vdo sooner. Can't beleive crowd paid for that concert.
Simply the greatest group ever!
I have a question?.. Neil and Geddy use Fibonacci Rule because the timing of the notes and the drum beat with the bass strings is so perfect ?
Fantastici.
The presence of a string section on this song was everything. It made me so happy. 🪄💕
Other bands: "Let's write about love and beer." Rush: Nuclear warfare.
Fun fact, one of the violin players is Jonathan Dinklage, Peter Dinklage, Trion Lannister, brother.
Back after Oppenheimer.
A perfect song for the OPPENHEIMER film
I remember being at this concert in Dallas, happily hearing a song I never thought I would hear in concert. Was a great night.
Beautiful!
Could have not been done without the refinement of uranium with centrifuges at the Mallinckrodt plant in St. Louis.
The mixing on this song is pretty sub par surprisingly. Guitar and voice are too high in volume
So much raw energy and power in this performance. The Clockwork Angels strings kicked ass as well. They completely fed off the energy of Neil Geddy and Alex.
It's Not funny now. Wasn't back then. But Putin is playing games. Not cool. Inicent people are being killed every day at every place they wouldn't think they would be slathered!!!! Putin wants to play War Games!!!! Lets go!!!!!
Geddy shoulda never quit smoking.
Why?
Some of rush's best songs never hit the charts.
Amen!
Power Windows, excellent album. RUSH a band you have to see in Concert !!! Unfortunately days, days, days run away like wild horses over the hill, not without my RUSH albums !!!! TopJimmy
SPETACULAAARRRRRRRR!!!!!!
👏👏👏👏😂😂😃
One thing I loved about Rush is that they didn't keep trying to recreate their biggest selling album, 'Moving Pictures' , like, say... AC/DC with 'Back in Black'!
この歌詞を創られたNeil Peartに敬意を表します…RIP
One of my all time favorite Rush tracks(as if they all weren’t!). Alex at 2:36, lmao. Love these fellas. Rest peacefully Neal and thank you.
One word, wow! Thanks
Simply THE best band EVER!!! I love RUSH!!!
It 75 Years ago on this day that the Enola Gay flew out of that shockwave.
RIP Mr. Peart...
See halflifeofgenius.com

RIP Neil....this is one of my favorites....incredible drummer and great lyricist
4:07 millennials waiting for the choreographed dancers to come on stage?
See what happens when Alex is told not to play and trigger synths with his feet lol
Lmao loved his face during that
Simply the best Rush's song...
Rush- 'Let's do a song about SEX! No! DRUGS? No! ROCK AND ROLL? Nope! How about NUCLEAR WAR? YES! YES!!' I Love RUSH!!
Drugs = A Passage to Bangkok
Sex = Need Some Love Drugs = Passage to Bangkok Rock 'n Roll = 2112
@@halvormyklebust897 atleast Passage to Bangkok wasn't 'explicitly' about drugs. it really took some understanding of the stoner mindset to get.
Megadeth : WRITE THAT DOWN!
Hey, I know! What about concentration camps? (Red Sector A) 😢
Getty always sounds great 👍🏻
Geddy does too
@@halvormyklebust897 So does Gary
@@crystalk9313So does Gershon!
The strings are absolutely harmonious and add so much depth to an already great song.
This song ALWAYS had STRINGS! Check out the STUDIO VERSION!
@@medmac2112 they used a string section on a Power Windows, Marathon and Manhattan Project check the liner notes.
Lance37a I just double checked and yes, you are correct. I didn’t know, thanks!
Neil needs his Zildjian Ride cymbal back!
VintageMdrummer nah, Sabian nailed it.
Well Sabian and Zildjian are pretty much the same .
All these years later Power Windows can still take me back to when it was first released. Something about that album is very much a time-machine.
one of there best.
@@ant-1382 I think so too especially Alex’s tone
Greetings from 2022 and this is still my favorite Rush song and album thanks to my mom.
definitely a good one, like so many Rush works, under appreciated by the mainstream.
@@ant-1382 indeed
There's an Awesome live version on their A Show of Hands album.
Geddy really struggled vocally on the last two tours. I love this band and have since 1977., Despite all the talk about Neil and Alex's physical ailments, Geddy has never sounded worse. His voice is cracking, he's flat, he's sharp. Go back and listen to him on earlier tours. His range was effortless. I suspect age is a part if it, but there isn't any of the 2012 and 2015 tours where I thought he sang well.
Age is definitely part of it, but IMO Geddy just didn't adapt to singing his really high parts with the voice he had on the last tours. It's the same problem with any rock/metal singer who in his 60s tries to sing as high as he did in his 20s and 30s.
Bruh you suspect age has to do with it. Well no shit Sherlock he's one of like only 3 who have been touring every 4 or so years since 1974.
Honestly, albums like S&A live were so good that they set the standard almost impossibly high. By any standard, geddy was a phenomenal singer in his prime. Unfortunately it did decline, as would be expected with age. We’d be in denial if we were to try to assume that wasn’t the case. He isn’t as good as he used to be. But that being said, he could still nail a tenor C in his sleep, even into his 60s. Compared to most other singers (Bon jovi, axl rose, rik emmett, and many others who sing in similar ranges), Geddy’s voice held up better than most of them. The last three live albums did have a bit more of an aged sound to his voice. I didn’t like it at first, but it grew on me. It became an acquired taste, and if anything, I’m impressed with how well he maintained the full tenor range through his entire career. He only lost about 3-4 notes over the span of 40 years. Very few rock singers can say the same. So while it still isn’t as good as albums like S&A were, it simply makes me appreciate those albums all the more I suppose. Geddy truly did a phenomenal job on some of those DVDs. I listen back and realize how much I took it for granted then, but holy smokes. That man never lost his pipes. What an incredible singer he was.
All of that high note singing takes it's toll on your vocals, especially if it's not your normal/comfortable range.
This is the smartest band.
I will never understand why people have to mix something as stupid as politics with something as brilliant as RUSH.
Not trying to be a dick, but did you even read the title of the song?
jddelvalle u mad bro?
History is not the same thing as politics. In the song there was commentary on how world-changing the use of nuclear weapons was, but there was no judgment about those who made the decisions, and nothing anti-war or pro-war.
They were chock full of "Power Windows" songs on this tour :) I love it.
Trump should invite Rush to the White House so he can know what true inspiration is.
Adam J blah blah blah
I wish they had played this in Seattle. I saw Clockwork Angels show, but not this set list.
They played it at the sleep country amphitheater down near vancouver/portland in 2013. was awesome.
This is such a great song!!!
Technically, this is from the Phoenix show. I was so bummed they changed the rotation and I missed them playing this at the Dallas show.
mavrush2112 and I was bummed when the Dallas show was used for most of the album and dvd!
i was at both shows, i've seen myself in the DVD, i wanted to make sure i was in it 👍🏼🤷🏻♂️
