Good afternoon I'm getting ready to stop by playing bass guitar I have not played since 1978 and I'm getting ready to get my first bass I am going to keep watching your videos so I can learn the basics playing bass thank you sir
Steve Morse is heads and shoulders above virtually anyone else in total musicality...just unreal what a talent he is. Dave is incredible as well. I've been following SMB and the Dixie Dregs since the early 80's. I never tire of it.
So true I hear so many instrumental guitarist these days and none of them hold a candle to Steve Morse in terms of tone or harmonic understanding. Plus with an instrumental group like the dregs you had total musical integration violin keys. Bass. an awesome drummer and of course Steves virtuosic guitar playing. Yes Dave LaRue is awesome. You got to be good to hang with Morse. Once again a demonstration of tone and harmonic understanding So lacking in instrumental guitar music today.
OMG this video is just incredible to anyone who knows anything about music I'm just a lowly singer but I have been trained in classical piano and classical vocals and have taught myself some guitar this is awesome though and I feel ashamed because I never heard of David LaRue

Steve Morse studied in music school, which made his chord compositions and cadences sophisticated, complex. In some compositions there is a clear influence of Baroque music, especially by J. S. Bach. Steve's a master.
Jimmy Hendrix made his six string electric guitar talk , well here is Victor Wooten who makes his 4 string electric guitar talk the language most soothing to my ear. The best there was ,is and will ever be and That's you Victor.
I've got a DiMarzio Steve Morse set I installed on my Schecter years ago. Sounds absolutely mind-blowing. I still don't play 1 percent as good as Steve, but at least I sound a lot better playing as bad as I do. Great pickups!
There never was a Bass player like Victor Wooten, a thousand years into the future still there won't be anyone like him, he can play everything that pops up on his mind in a way as if the bass was connected to his mind.
they are one of my all time favorite musical partnerships. I don't know the story of how he found him, but when Steve found Dave he must have been very happy -- still is apparently. Feels like Geddy and Alex, but deeper musically
Eric Johnson was in Electromagnets in 1974. He was a true badass then, with his signature sound and techniques already. I heard them many times in Austin.
I'll never forget meeting both Steve and Dave prior to the show at bb kings they came down the stairs and I was like Steve how are you Man !! He couldn't have been more gracious as well as Dave both killer players and nice nice guys!!
Maravilloso. Los invito a escuchar Ice Cakes de Dixie Dregs, en vivo, ese mismo dúo hace muchos años en una canción que es muy compleja.
Larue.. good bassist in John pretucci solo band
Pode passar o tempo que for, o trabalho do Morse nunca envelhece, só melhora!
Daves bass line in collateral damage is just insane

スティーヴ・モーズさんのプレイはラ・ルーさんとの演奏が一番好きかな。
Dwaj mistrzowie. W mojej ocenie najlepsze dou na świecie. Ich muzyka brzmi jak wspaniałe, wielogłosowe chorały.

Both are 65 years old born in 1954. Each have their own signature sound.
