Rude tourist need to know that the police are there to de-escalate situation they got themselves in as if it was up to the guard they rather cut you with their sword. The swords the guards at Horse Guard carry aren't just for show they well use it if left with no other choice and police aren't able to de-escalate. Also don't get me started with the guards that guard the palace as they will aim their gun mounted with a bayonet at the end at rule breaking tourist.

How come tourists can walk around their home cities for a whole day without a stuffed-full knapsack, but when they’re in a different city they have to carry everything they own around with them everywhere? When I travel I leave my accommodations with my cash stashed against my calves in my socks, my credit cards & ID safely zipped away in a pick-pocketer’s nightmare, and a jacket if it might be cool or rainy. Not sumitting any Alps accidentally unless things go VERY awry. And you can buy your souvenir sweatshirt if you really need another layer. Water? They sell it by the bottle *everywhere* you’re going; no need to drag your personal jug around. Pro tip: the tap water is perfectly fine in all of Europe, North America, and tourism destinations in the Caribbean and Mexico. The 1900s are over.

I don't understand. If the Royal Guards are so prestigious and noble, why is this place still open to tourists? And why are there no signs prohibiting people from messing with, getting close to, or taking photos with them? While I understand the need for respect, I find myself sympathizing with the tourists in this situation. What’s the purpose of having such robust soldiers, referred to as Royal Guards, if their interaction with the public is so limited?

I respect Royal guards. They do the job and you don’t have to make fun of them. People make fun of themselves and so stupid. Have no respect at all .

Tourists. Don't ever mess with the Royal Gard or Horses looking for fun photo / video clips. The outcome could be painful & embarrassing on RUclips.

I´ve not yet seen a Royal Kings Guard use their sabre("sward"). Do they really need them? (at least not on any of these videos)

I think they have the wrong sign, warning about the horse simply implies to dumb tourists that you're allowed to get close but just be careful. I don't get why they don't put a huge square marker on the floor surrounding them for at least a metre with a sign that says "Do NOT cross the lines. Trespassers will be subject to arrest.". That way the guards aren't blocked by a fence or anything, and anyone entering can simply be arrested on the spot. That way, anyone touching the guard or horse is already trespassing.

Leave our guards alone!!!
