I tried to reply to your reply, but for some reason it won't post. So here's my cracked neck update. Surprisingly, they actually emailed me back within just a few hours of my initial email (thanks for the advice about emailing on Tuesday evening.) They're trying to claim that only the paint is cracked and not the neck itself, based on my pictures... which I disagree with. They offered either a $80 credit to me (38% of sell price), or said they can send me a shipping label to send it back for a refund or replacement. If I choose the latter, they asked for photos of it being put back in its original package, just like they did with you. According to the reply I got, they don't send the new one until they have confirmed that they have received the damaged one. So I packed it back up, taking a pic of each step and attached them to my reply email. Maybe I'll get lucky and get a brand new one sent right away like you did. I still can't believe they didn't ask you for their $400 double-neck back, lol
@@SnarlyCharly yeah that makes sense send the old one out before sending a new one
I bought a Firefly FFSP (Les Paul) recently, and received a guitar with a large crack arching across the bottom of the neck near the body (shipping damage, I assume). I just now sent them an email requesting an exchange or refund, complete with 8 pictures showing the crack from every angle. This is a real shame too, as apart from this crack, everything else about the guitar is immaculate and absolutely beautiful... Here's hoping for a speedy resolution from the folks at Firefly! By the way, did Firefly ever request you to send the defective guitar back?
@@SnarlyCharly that stinks, hope it works out for you
@@graysguitars5113 Wow, they actually emailed me back within just a few hours. (Thx for the advice on emailing on Tues night.) I told them I will be happy to send it back if they give me a shipping label. I can't believe they never asked for your $400+ double neck back, lol

Bro already has this on marketplace trying to trade for a Gibson LP 😆 🤣 😂
@@NadaNada-pp2uh that's not correct, trade yes, but not directly for a Gibson. Probably have to trade several more times before I could get a Les Paul.
Hmmm! KDH made a video on this and a used approved was €5 less than a brand new one! Thats pretty good value. Used will be overpriced if Fender is involved.
@@KRAZEEIZATION yeah I just saw that too pretty crazy buy the new one for 5 bucks more
A lot of it depends also what you could find that fits.

Rory’s one of my favorites. It’s a shame he just never crossed over the threshold of popularity. If you listen to his studio albums compared to his live albums you’ll understand why. His studio albums are filled great songs that were just terribly recorded. When you hear him live you’ll understand why the people who know him love him.
i'll give them a listen

Hi, did you have the floyd rose installed on the Parker?
@@kn0w0n3 nope, they made a handful of them that way
@@graysguitars5113Interesting. I did not know that. I am working on my parker pdf70 and can't find any wiring diagrams anywhere. It had Duncan USM pickups. I'm trying to put it back to the original wiring. It was wired strangely. Would you happen to have a wiring diagram or could you show the wiring on yours? I looked on the Parker clone site as well but no luck. Thanks.
@@kn0w0n3 don't have a wiring diagram or this guitar anymore. Search either Parker or Floyd rose on my channel there is a video I have with the back plate off
@@graysguitars5113I will check it out thanks.
Dude you should have done your home work before you gave such a bull shit opinion on this product. The statement that you can cnc machine your own part is ridiculous. Evidently you are not smart enough to know how expensive a cnc machine cost plus the education that it will take to operate it, believe me you would not even have the education to know how to cut one on.
The real answer is both.
@@ZanderPlaysVG if you can afford sure
Click bait worked. Thanks for the disclaimer at the beginning so I didn't have to watch the rest.
Amp for sure, I have an expensive guitar but one of my daily drivers an old ass starter knock off Strat that I loooove playing. Just replace the strings, plug it into a decent amp, and shit you can get some great tones out of it.

Slightly, SLIGHTLY above garbage, and overpriced by 10-15x. They are STUPIDLY overpriced and should be much higher, premium quality for that price. For perspective, take a $4 Amazon/Chinese tool, step up to the $8 "Stanley" or whatever version, but well below premium Snapon, MAC, even Craftsman level, grind an edge off or something to make it "for guitars", put your Stewy McMac sticker on it and charge $89.99+.
Have + 5 just in case 😊

When I got started all my stuff was cheap models that got modded to accommodate what I wanted. Another perk was nobody stole my guitars when friends had better brands that people eyed. Crazy days 🤣
@@mae1813 yup no one will steal the Epiphone when a Gibson is close by
Just any guitar in the $300-$800 range will work. Take it to a shop, get it set up. It'll work.

It's Gibson. Expect to be gouged.

Well there is also depreciation a 20 year old epiphone will not hold its value as well as 20 year old American guitar. These are just the facts
@@darklinkduck2275 that is very true
I wonder how many guitarists could honestly tell the difference in a blindfold test between a genuine Les Paul and many of those which, shall I say, look like them? Yes they may feel different sometimes but I have found over the years that my Les Paul is not (much?) better if at all than a couple of other lookalike makes I have tried. Thoman for example seem to make excellent, er, lookalikes for a lot less than Gibson. Gibson prices are getting silly in my humble opinion.
@@bobainsworth9571 people pay them so they keep charging
I got a nice and straight forward American Standard Strat as my first electric guitar. It has no bells and whistles, but everything is very fine quality. The instrument really invites me and encourages me to play it.
@@lukasvandewiel860 yeah if you can afford it go for it
I started off with a squier classic vibe vintage Strat which sound and feels just like a high quality fender with some adjusting. It feels and sounds super nice!
@@ododm1 cool
I just scored one of these empty for $20 on CL. One of the plastic handles on the side broke during shipping and I believe the seller got a replacment from Monoprice, thus just wanted to get rid of the damaged one. Other than the broken handle it is brand spanking new so I can't complain. You can definitely tell it's built to a price point but as cab construction goes it's better than a lot of budget cabs I've seen. The front baffle appears to be real plywood along with the center post and inner edges that the back panels screw into otherwise the rest is MDF... I didn't expect any ply so that's a plus in it's favor. I loaded it with 2 Heritage G12H30 55hz Greenbacks and it sounds glorious, it really sound great with my HDRX20. I wasn't expecting how massive it was, it's very large for a 2x12 and no photos or video so far that I've seen truly captures how large this cab really is. It's easily 2/3rds of a small 4x12, atleast next to my cheap Acoustic branded 4x12... It's so large it has a center post, almost as if it's truly half of a 4x12! The side handles are imo a joke for any serious use/gigging, cheap flimsy plastic but luckily the top "leather" handle seems sturdy. That would be really my only gripe had I paid full price but even then with the fact they come with 2 V30s for their price point it's hard to complain.
@@Voodoo66Chile I had to send mine back twice to get a good one. To me it looks like the entire thing is plywood but I could be wrong. It sounds great I just wish it wasn't as huge as it is. I should have measured before hand.
$900 for your first beginner guitar??

The Junior is about the same price with inflation. I believe in 1957 a junior with case was about 150 dollars. Which is crazy because they have the old Honduran mahogany and Brazilian rosewood. That’s 1600 hundred today.
