This is one of my fav Lost Dog Street Band Songs considering I live in Laredo id love the band to come down here eventually to preform it it would be very ironic lol.
Yes, Nic was a part of LDSB. He was on the first two albums, I'm pretty sure. You can hear a lot of his backup singing on the Life's a Dog-Gone Shame album and his voice gives an eerie touch to it and of course his banjo picking is phenomenal. Sucks knowing we lost what was becoming one of the greatest folk musicians. It sucks even more that he had no clue he was becoming that. He deserves to be standing right beside Ben and Ashley today.
This is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard.

I’m not sure the person recording or people walking by realized this is one of the greatest American songwriters of all time.
I've been saying the same thing for a while now. The last album just solidified it for me. I just hope the recognition comes while he's still here to understand just how many people he's helped through some of the darkest times of their life.

That’s a beautiful trio of instruments actually but an even more so palpable to heart and giving harmony to tragedy.. make a sad song such a sweet melody.. the best never-again-to-play-no-more-together jam band! They were all amazing together with Shannon, in Spit Shine, check them all out… RIP Nicholas, it’s now up to Ashley, Ben, and Shannon to all save us all from shitty bro country.. my soul finds rest in their music. They say and sing what I can’t, and play what I’m only able to in my heart. Check out Tear drop Trio and Lost dog Street Band! LFSB deserves all the fame. I’d like to meet Ben one day.
