A GTE is a very rare car these days I would love one of them! Sadly they are pushing EVs these days and I'm not a fan either I wish there was more american muscle over here so it wouldn't be so expensive to get my hands on one of my own 😅

@SamsAutoAssortium I bought a 3rd gen camaro about 3 yrs ago. All I can say is never buy one of those sight unseen especially if it is a project build, as I got ripped right off. I was absolutely gutted & then decided to turn it into a drag car, but parts for them were hard and extremely expensive to buy over here.

@l8ton803 nice I bet that thing was sick! Not certainly not many drag cars over here so I can only imagine how hard that was for parts!

Sounds like it's over fueling you maybe able to just adjust the carb to fix that, mine was pouring out and not getting into the engine at all so a new carb was the easiest option for me

@@SamsAutoAssortium that what I've going to have to do I think what screw would it be to adjust it mate

@joshchatwin1517 probably need to take the whole carb off and clean it and check the float and float needle I'm no expert but I doubt adjusting the screws from the outside will fix the problem but you could always try that to start with.

Yeah that one was pretty cool, there's actually a surprising amount here in the UK so hopefully I get a chance to see alot more!

It sure is, I always try to get things for the best price just incase repairs or anything cost more than I'm expecting (which happens alot) 😅

I didn't realise they could get anywhere near that speed, although I can guarantee it wouldn't with me on it 😅🤣

Loved your car! I plan to attend these as regularly as I can and next time I'll free up some time to get round and talk to people and get some insight on the cars etc. Hopefully I get to field of dreams this weekend 👍

That is something I'm looking at I don't have a garage or any indoor space for welding so not really the ideal set up from what little I know about welding but certainly something I want to have a try at in the future 🤟

Technically yes but it was insured and being driven somewhere for repairs which according to the .gov website is a valid exception... whether that excuse would fly if caught is another story 😅🤣

@SamsAutoAssortium it wouldn't be insured as you need a valid mot for the insurance company to pay out. It would void your policy. The police would seize the car and you would be left with a fine 😂 just be careful bud.

@joem8213 I suppose your right there I didn't think about it in that much detail 🤔 MOT is tomorrow on it so hopefully it sails through after all the work I've dine in the latest videos and I can get this thing on the road 🤟

Thanks so much for watching and thanks for the advice, I've actually just got some carb cleaner and some brushes/wire and I'll be fully removing the carb and giving it a proper clean on my next video aswell as removing the tank and fuel tap to clean them out properly too, I'll keep your tips in mind while I'm working on this 🤟

@@SamsAutoAssortium Go easy if you're cleaning the carb jets . Don't poke wire through them cos you don't want to make the holes bigger .

@@SamsAutoAssortium I'd put the airbox back on if possible .

@ballockybill2277 thanks I did consider that as I have got the airbox but unfortunately the previous owner butchered it and there's some holes it it so it won't work as efficiently as it should, if I can't manage to get the carb set up using the aftermarket air filter that's on there then I will get a new secondhand air box and try that 🤞

@ballockybill2277 thanks I'll remember that when cleaning them, I'll head out and get some compressed air cans this morning before I make a start 🤟
