Find your Shakti: Embrace Discomfort For Personal and Professional Growth!
The work of inclusion and belonging is complex and can be uncomfortable at times. It’s important to find the strength and courage that can allow yourself to get comfortable with being uncomfortable. Finding your shakti (which means strength and courage in Cindu’s native South Indian language of Malayalam) is necessary tool that can help you be an agent of culture change and champion of inclusion and equity.

BIPOC Leadership Doesn't Guarantee Inclusion or Liberation

It is imperative to diversify leadership as our workplaces become increasingly racially diverse. However, it is imperative to realize a BIPOC leader will not ALWAYS ensure inclusion or liberation of BIPOC employees- sometimes BIPOC leaders can create harm and perpetuate a toxic workplace culture rather than disrupt it. Understanding and Resisting White Adjacency

One of the roadblocks to racial inclusion and anti-racism is BIPOC who condone and help perpetuate the systems of racism and whiteness. When we examine the racist systems that have been embedded into our society, the default is to point fingers only at White folks. I think it is time that we also begin to examine how we as people of color can be complicit in these oppressive systems. One concep...

I think rather than focusing on skin deep issues the conversation should evaluate the thesis that the basis for racism is a cultural bias for one’s own family cult. People are devoted to their religion which is based on a belief in a particular God or gods or no God at all. What and who we worship matters for communion.

The day hispanics outnumber white americans, is the day the word minority suddenly dissapears. The word is used often to refer more to social class or economic class than to a numerical value of how many people there are and the day hispanics outnumber white people, hispanics will still be financially less well off than whites. And you know damn well that white americans arent going to be okay with being called minorities because a word originally designed to refer to a quantity is now being used to refer to quality. I think using the term "Numerical minority" would fix this. Adopting different vocab for this case now will save us quite a bit of turmoil and division in the future when hispanics do outnumber whites.

You can feel any way you want to about Black Skin. Black people have no intention of giving up their Black skin for a fool like you. You do not have to be Black, marry the non Black. Stay away from us, we are not after your color white, what ever it is. Just leave us along, we are not you, and, You are not us. Goodbye. Note: Blacks people do not buy any Indian colored white. Keep your money in your pocket until you can get around normal people. As a matter of fact Do not buy any of the world’s “colored white”. It is inferior, you hear it, so believe it.

There's a reason why escorts/hookers say NO BLACK MEN in their ads. There's a reason why black people have the highest child out of wedlock and highest divorce rates in America. There's a reason why black people commit the most crimes but are one of the smallest communities in America. There's a reason why black people aren't considered favourable around the world, even in Africa where the black Africans look down upon black Americans. Black people aren't practicing Indian traditions, they don't know your customs and language etc. So it's not a matter of hate, it's a matter of introducing people who have NO INTENTIONS of continuing what your nationality/race/culture is. Ask a mixed kid if they had trouble accepting into one or both cultures? They would say both cultures didn't accept them cause they weren't 100% either, so they became unwanted. You really want that for your kids? Not being accepted by the Indian community cause you don't really look Indian or know the little things that make your Indian. Nope. It's about not losing your identity in this mix of cultures cause it really doesn't mix...there's always one culture that rises up and the other is lost or silenced. It's never 50-50. That's why most kids who grew up mixed have a hard time repping both...they either choose one or don't choose either and are ashamed of who are they are.

I am a Malayalee but not from India. I just verified with my cousin living in Kerala who stated that the Muslims in the northernmost portion of Kerala (Kasargod, Kannur, Kozhikode) have a distinct white skin color complexion. Their skin complexion is obviously whiter than the average Hindu of the region. The Muslims in Malappuram have a darker skin tone. He said the reason for this is the attack by Tipu Sultan who wiped out the Brahmin and Kshtriya men of Kasargod, Kannur, Kozhikode and took all their wives and married them. One soldier can marry four women. But the Malappuram Muslim became Muslims because of the 1921 Mappila Riots where Hindus of all castes were forcibly converted to Muslim, therefore their skin tone is much darker on average. Caste system is a labor division and there was originally no upper or lower. All had totally equal rights but different professions. They are like an orchestra playing beautiful music. They can interact with each other and be very friendly with each other. But the drum player cannot suddenly state he wants to play the flute which he did not practice all his life. I was sitting in a Bhajan one day when a Malayalee Kshatriya kid sitting next to me was making a ruckus. I hit his legs. He simply replied, “no pain.” I hit him harder and he again replied, “no pain.” Then I hit his leg as hard as I could, he again replied, “no pain.” I have three kids and know that the kid's pain tolerance is far higher than my three children. So it will be alright if such people end up in the military or the police. The discrimination of the Kshatriyas and Brahmins towards the Vaishyas and Shudras started 2500 years ago which led to the starting of Buddhism and Jainism. I get my information from Sai Baba whom I have been following for 43 years. Color of skin of Vaishyas and Shudras were obviously darker since for millions of years they were toiling in the sun. Comparatively Brahmins were in dark jungles or doing their meditation under sheds for millions of years. Similarly the Kshatriyas were in their sheds more than Shudras and Vaishyas. I do not believe the Western idea that humans were only around for thousands of years. The skin color of the Kshatriyas and Brahmins has nothing to do with the coming in by Europeans in NW India to become Brahmins and Kshatriyas. Latest genetic studies have proven that Indians are more closely related to each other than to any people outside India. It was Indians who moved out to become Europeans and Chinese and all races except Africans whom Indians originated from. This is why Sanskrit is the base language of most languages on earth. In Malaysia we speak Malay and 80% of Malay is Sanskrit. A statue of Ganesa which has been dated to more than 1200 years is in the local museum in my city. It was found near the Santubong mountain near my home city. There was a previous instance when the ego of the Kshatriyas caused them to discriminate against the Vaishyas and Shudras and God had to come down as Parashurama to wipe out 21 generations of Kshatriyas. Similarly, about 21 generations of Kshatriyas and Brahmins were wiped out by the Muslim hordes during their invasion of India. I am sure the N. Indian Brahmins are from other castes who just occupied the empty spots in the temples and armies because the Kshatriyas and Brahmins were killed off. It is a bit more clear in Telangana and Andra history where the Reddy, Naidu etc are actually Shudras and they acknowledge it because the original Kshatriyas were wiped out by the Muslims. Therefore, I believe India is a holy land and God let the Muslim and later Christian hordes attack India to solve the caste discrimination problem. So, we cannot be angry at the Muslims, they were just doing God’s work like Parashurama even though they did not know it. I read online the letter Tipu Sultan sent to his generals which states that all Brahmins have to be killed after being badly tortured and all Kshatriyas men who did not die must go through a ceremony where they have to be converted to Islam and there is a beef eating ceremony after that. In Malaysia I can see that the N. Indian Brahmins are far weaker in their academic achievements compared to Tamil Brahmins. Also, many of our Gods like Krishna, Rama and Shiva had totally black skin. I had a vision of Krishna, he was about twice my height and was totally black in skin color. Top gurus state that if you study the background of the 1000 greatest sages of Hinduism, most were Shudras. It is simple, the rich tend to not put in sufficient effort to achieve greatness. Examples are Valmiki who wrote the Ramayana, Vyasa who wrote the Mahabharata, Narada and many others. Even the Pandavas originated in the Shudra caste if you go far back in their history. I am a Professor in electrical engineering but spend most of my life in industry. I discovered the very top student I had in my life after marking the exam papers of a class of about 110 students. I contacted him to send his photo so I can forward it to the rest of the class and ask them to follow this person. But he said he needed to go to a photo studio etc. I thought it would take seconds to send his photo. I later found out he was so poor he did not have any furniture in his home. I also later found out that was his last semester and he got straight A’s for all his four years of electrical engineering degree. The caste discrimination was brought to the fore just before the last elections. The two major parties running to win were the BJP and the Congress. The congress did not have much to prove they ever did so they brought up the division in India and using this they successfully took a lot of votes from the BJP. But the BJP still won overall. Kerala, where my parents came from, is the best in solving this caste discrimination issue. The British favored the Brahmins since they are small in number and can be used as an extension of themselves. So when the British left in 1947, the Brahmins were occupying almost all official positions and owned most of the land. It was a Brahmin named Namboodiripad who was disgusted by the way Brahmins were simply given everything and thus making his family and relatives lazy. He simply took over all the landlords’ (feudal leaders) land and gave it to the farmers, stating that is the Communist way (he was from the Communist party). Thereby immediately relieving the feudal leaders’ of all their wealth. Today Kerala has the most egalitarian society among states in India. It already has among the highest GDP per capita. But Communism’s other illogical ways have stopped industries and factories from setting up in Kerala but they did not stop IT so I believe Kerala will be among the top in IT in the near future. I believe the Communist did their job and it is time for them to leave Kerala. About the discrimination against black skin, I am sure it was brought into Indian culture from the Muslim and Christian conquerors of India. Marco Polo’s description of the India he saw in 1288 in a region which was not conquered by Muslims was that females tried to make their skin darker by putting beauty products on themselves. And no male or female covered their chest. All had a small piece of fabric covering their genitals.

They are so naive to say Indians did not have to deal with slavery . Indians and specially hindus of India had been under constant occupation since past 1000 years first under the Isllamic invaders and then under the British. They have suffered events far more barbaric than the the holocaust itself with persistent attempts to erase their cultural and civilizational identity. These Gen z wokes spew bullshit about their own culture and people to be cool. Indians are not anti black They just font identify with the culture. Most Indian families will not marry into different religion or culture that is how we are it has got nothing to do with skin tone because in india within one family u will find people of all skin colours but yes they will be of the same religion and sharing the same.culture.

When will we stop pretending to not know we were once black and that there was no lack of pigmentation in our ancestors? STOP PRETENDING TO NOT KNOW! The intention was to make/create a people to populate the world that could survive in the harshest environment and adapted to any climate to the point where over many years of cave dwelling and building a society during the ice ages (which is recorded at 5 total) they became less pigmented since it wasn't necessary to protect against UV rays with no sunlight. Yes UV still exist then not only in our time but since the beginning that's only one of many issues being naturally less athletic for another. They are caged people who don't know their true potential. This world is still the same place our ancestors began with but with lesser resource again that's another topic. Will we stop pretending and go to the beginning please? Research your true culture it'll take some time but it's all there and it'll give us more understanding of our purpose! Will we continue to live a lie to just to please or flesh until we have to atone for our decisions? If this confused you and makes you angry that feeling is not from our creator, our God. Remember who the prince of confusion is a who despises his creation the most. Much love
