i empathize w your suffering and i believe what you're feeling is real and empathize w the reasons you give and i get how it may be a heightened sense of distress compared to men, or cis women that said "age dysphoria" as a concept is nothing like "gender dysphoria" in the sense that there has appeared a framework that has established "gender" as a social construct, heavily based on biology and in practice quite tied to it, but where exceptions can be made, and where there are several factors that make it possible for someone to suffer from "gender dysphoria" and receive treatment for it. Thus it's a condition that can be medicalized to a certain extent, there are ways to align one's body and identity to address that disconnect. That same thing cannot be applied to "age". There is no way to reverse age, age is not a "social construct". There are socially constructed arbitrary elements about it (like when one becomes an "adult" in lawful terms, when you're considered a senior citizen or deserve a pension/discounts) but those constructs respond to real events (the distance from the time you were born to now). your age will always increase. It's a linear progression, the rate of progression is immutable and equal for all, it's independent of any identitarian or psychological perceptions you have. i feel like if you want to fight against ageism in the community, or deal with the weight of aging or the issues that come with transitioning later at time, the way it affects women in a different and crueler way than men, whatever; it's better to focus on those problems concretely and face those battles instead of identifying as "transage" and trying to fight not only those battles but adding onto it the weight of an unwinnable battle that also makes the trans community look bad and reinforces the false "slippery slope" argument if there ever is a surgery that can turn you young, maybe there could be more conversation about "transageism" and about things like "retirement age, etc", but even then the realities of linear time and the experiences you have already have will always be there and cannot be erased. unlike gender which is a more fluid concept that can be centered in the present, age is by definition intrinsically tied to the past. when it comes to age, your history is fundamental to your identity, even if you could look younger the experiences and time elapsed can't be erased or rewritten. gender identity otoh does allow for a switch in presentantion and feeling bc it's not defined by that linear progression. it is possible to transition genders, and then detransition, etc. there's only one way of "transitioning" ages. it only goes forward.
