    I like that they used a Mega Mushroom to transform rather than being enpowered by Bowser. The only downside to this fight is that it loses some of the Tag Team angle and there is no forced duel like in the original Mario Heroes. These are small complaints, however.

      They weren't empowered by Bower before. In TA2 where the fight originally comes from they used the World's Star to gain there powers and in the original MH1, they just kinda became big with no given explantion. Do you mind elaborating on your other points? I'm not sure I quite understand.

      @drmekar I shall! In previous fights, Marcus and Francess used to fight collectively. There was even a fight that involved them using fire and ice abilities respectively. This element is lost in the Final Fight in favor of giving them completely individual movements. This is overall a net positive but I did enjoy the old "Tag-Team" collectivism of their previous fights. Secondly, I recall Francess having an one vs. one fight with the Heroes, forcing them to kill him to survive. This seems to no longer be the case, which will be a bit of a shame because now Marcus will have no motivation to become the Dark Lord...unless he becomes one for another reason...

      @@almondjoy4938 Thanks, I see what you trying to allude to regarding the Tag Team aspect and it originally was even a thing in the scrapped World 7 Fight where they remained on Top of oneanother, however this boss was based on SMBXDMtlL2's Bunny Wario who isen't a too well coded Boss and it also felt too much of drastic change from MH1 Original one. This one is, I feel like the perfect mix of the originals essence, while having a much better execution more in line which how the last Tag Team Boss, Bogdan and Larry, worked in World 4. I mean the scene isen't over as alluded to in the end. However I want to properly introduce the characters mentioned by name here such as Ramirez, Natalie Gold and especially Vasile Stoica first as what comes next loses alot of it's impact otherwise.

    This level is pretty cool. The tiles being a bunch of rubble is really neat and the cars being spat out through pipes is a great application of normal Mario elements in a grittier setting.

    Thoroughly fantasic. It really feels like Bowser is throwing everything he has at you. And revamping Dallas's boss fights with the Blasters worked perfectly. With how many bosses is thrown your way, it is fair for Bowser himself to be only one Phase. And since his boss fight isn't easy, it won't feel like a letdown.

      Glad to here. Yeah, that's the intention as also stated earlier in Arthur's Dialogue in World 6, he plans to let Bowser exhaust his resources so that nothing can come back to bite him and even if he has to sacrifice a handful of Watyrflow Guys and Uileag Haynes to sell the illusion, so be it. Regarding Bowser's Fight having only phase it's also important to note that Arthur poisoned him, so he's much weaker then it would be case normally. Edit: Also, I almost forgot to adress it, but the dialogue from Bowser is planned to be final, so no matter what I may end up changing about Bowser Jrs World 6 Entcounter, Bowser will think he passed.

    This. Is. AWESOME. I especially like the use of Pyro Blaster and Cryo Blaster for Von Sacheverell's reworked final fight. The final drop before Bowser was also really interesting, as well as the underwater section with the Baseball Chucks.

    A small thing I think you should add is unique dialog for each boss. The Prehistoric and Aeden both have dialog that conveys to the player who they are as characters. By adding more dialog, the player can understand a bit about the personality of the enemy rather than these details being hidden.

    Firstly, these are the most impressive set of bosses that have ever appeared in the Boss Rush Timeline. With the exception of Yamanut's Curse (we'll get to that later) every boss is polished to a shine. With that being said, I think some criticism is in order. The main issue with these bosses is that dealing with them can be cryptic at times for a first time player. Take DripGrip for example. The Block Gimmick is easy enough to understand but some people may be confused on how to beat him if they don't know how to jump and grab his projectiles at the same time. My solution: Use a Hint Box located in a safe place of the boss arena and give the player flavor text on the boss, its quirks, and abilities. That way, this boss rush can be more beginner-friendly while retaining its challenge, as using the Hint Box could be optional. Another major issue is regarding Yamanut's Curse. It's not a bad boss in concept but it is extremely janky. It has issues with the Switch Boxes at the end of the arena and if it doesn't rise high enough, it can't crush the blocks needed to lead to its demise. If these issues can be fixed or patched up somehow, it will be a much more engrossing boss. Lastly, as a nitpick; the Character Blocks should be more numerous. Going all the way back just to pick a character seems a bit tedious. These gripes aside, I was blown away by the Boss Rush, Doc. It is your Magnum Opus as far as I'm concerned.

      Thanks alot for the Feedback. This Episode isen't really meant to be for Beginners as it's Part of a four-part finale that will conclude the original Boss Rush Timeline, having started with Boss Rush 11.0: A New Beginning, now continung with this and followed by Boss Rush 12.0: Land of Madness and putting a close to the series with Boss Rush 13.0: Reality Collapse. (The Subtitles are WIP, though I think they sound pretty good.) I do however agree that Grip Drip and possibily also others are in need of some guidance and atleast in case of Grip Drip I also already have an idea for that. Regarding your mentioned issue with Yamanut's Curse, the boss always destroys the Blocks underneath it when it thinks it can crush the player. The Switch Blocks are just there for assistance to the Player in case they for example manage to make both of Yamanut's Statues follow them. The entire Floor is also filled with Lava, so they die either way. Feel free to also give more things to add if you'd like to as I plan to collect Feedback for a few weeks now to see what ends up working and what doesn't.

      Well, I actually wanted to use him for a while so of course I couldn't use him as himself as he would seem kinda out of place and suddently I had the idea with the Swoopers which funnily enough is callback as my first time seing Yellow Devil was actually in Brutal Mario and for some reason I thought back then that he consistet of Bats.

    The RNG Bosses are incredible but they make me think you should consider making a Boss Rush featuring just the Heroes 1 Bosses. It could be a good "filler" episode that's fairly easy to make since everything is already made.

      Thanks, so making an Episode of those sounds really kinda boring to be upfront. The main reason why I stopped making Boss Rush Episodes for so long and now only work of them sparsely is because theres barely any room to tell stories in them. Most of the original ones up to 10.0 barely even have something you could call a story to begin with. Unless I'm misunderstanding and you're talking about a Boss Rush in MH1.5 featuring it's Bosses in which case it's an idea I considered, but due the Game still having many Classic Bosses like Rudy I can't easily import them like Lua Bosses, so even if I could, the amount of Bosses in this Game not even couting any rematches is just way too colossal for something like this.

I just love looking at the various tactics and abilities Bosses possessed more than the levels. (Though your levels are awesome as well.) Still, if my suggestion is too much of a hassle for you, it's better to not do it.

    Nice work on the revamp, Doc! The lighting effects really enhance the visuals on the level. As for the Rudy bosses, I think they are pretty neat. Though Rudy's second battle is the best out of the lot for me. I love how much pressure he puts on you and you only have a limited time to beat him before he crushes you. Rudy's Finest Creation is neat but I think the bullet bill phases needs to have more variety in projectiles to really shine. As it stands now, it lacks gravitas befitting of a final clash. Now on the other hand, the music is perfect! What is Rudy's Greatest Creation boss theme?

      Yeah, I can see where you coming from as despite Rudy's Arsenal still involving Rinkas and Grinders (as seen from his previous entcounter), I wanted to limit this one to Bullets. Meaning Bullet Bills, Banzai Bills, Bitsi Bills and Bullets in it's most general form. I also did think about adding a fifth and sixth Attack Pattern for a moment, but decided against it for believeability as theres really no place to add any other limbs if you want to picture it as one large robot. Also as I forgot to put it in my other comment. Not sure if you already guessed it based on the name but in the Game, you only have to battle one of the Boss Remachtes instead of all 3. Which one is gonna appear so is randomized constandly so it's pretty much impossible to predict.

I'm asking as while I'm currently making a mystery out of which Villains are gonna return in MH2 (besides Goomba Guy), Rudy is someone I could also defenitly see making a return even if he's second fiddle to Morton.

      @drmekar Rudy would absolutely be perfect as a returning Villain in Heroes. He could construct even more mechanical menaces for the Heroes to fight. More importantly, he can try to plan a coup and could even get help from the Dark Lord to make it happen.

    I was planning on including the entirety of the revamped Bowser's Castle originally, but theres still too much to do including a new battle with Dallas von Sacheverell and another new sub boss as this allows to me keep the skip for Uileag Haynes Battle intact without diminishing the scale of the game's second finale.

      Perhaps, so I can't confirm nor deny it so far. I am however currently not planning on doing the same for the other Worlds as I already made an updated version for World 5 and the amount of changes isn't too substantial to varant a new video. In the prior Worlds.

    There are alot of interesting bosses in this world. I still didn't care for Sctulman uncerminously killing Bowser Jr. but his actual fight is one of the best fights in this World so it kinda makes up for it. The absolute best is White Horse 12. An extremely varied miniboss with alot of trickd up its sleeves. My least favorite is Carmine. He could have had his own unique flaire to the boss rematches(new projectiles, hazards, etc.) but instead he just repackages them with their interesting aspects removed. Now, I remember that was by design but I'm still not fond of the concept as it is. However, I see that it won't change so I won't express any further displeasure.

      Well, Bowser Jr died in the original Game as well, so I prefer this variation over the Heroes killing him by wrecking his machine, which now became the fate of Dr. Jumbo instead. If you however have a better idea I'm definitely open to suggestions. I'm not the biggest fan of Carmine myself, so making the Boss Battles harder doesn't favor the circumstances as the level itself is already extremely long and Carmine is directly followed by Iggy. To improve upon his Battle, while not overstepping in difficulty, I'd have to do something completely different.

      ​@@dr.mekarquickanswer8694 I don't know if this suggestion would help but I would recommend giving Carmine his own self-contained level rather than shoe-horning him in with Iggy's. That way, you can focus on solely fleshing out Carmine without upsetting the difficulty curve established in Iggy's level.

      ​@@dr.mekarquickanswer8694 I just remembered that I never gave a suggestion on how to handle Bowser Jr. so here's my suggestion; instead of Junior dying uncerminously in World 6, have him be fought without his clown car right then and there. He can survive the first encounter and return in World 7 with a new challenging Battle in his Jr. Clown Car. He doesn't even have to die here, either; after Bowser's defeat, Jr. could return in Heroes 2 to serve as the new Ruler of Dark Land. Sctulman could be fought in a different way (maybe by having him ambush the Heroes in a different level.)

      @@almondjoy4938 Not a bad idea, so Bowser Jr has to be dead by MH2 or at the very least out of the story as Morton will take over as the defacto leader of Darkland in MH2 for which I also especially look forward to regarding his interaction with Wart as he isen't a Pushover as Bowser was in the original MH2. That Point aside, there is also absolutly no more space for any additonal bosses in World 7 as the Boss Compilation already went on for over 45 Minutes and since then I even added an addional, if not special, boss to 7-5 as the level had barely any Gameplay.

      @drmekar Then you can probably squeeze in a spot for Junior in World 8. You can even have him attempt to seek revenge on the Heroes for killing Bowser for good. Whether you kill Junior off right then and there or have him be in hiding during Heroes 2, it will be better than having Sctulman kill him off without so much as a boss fight beforehand. Though Morton being the Ruler of Dark Land is an interesting development. I look forward to seeing how you will convey that.

    Fogshock Pass's main gimmick is similar to the Forest of Shade, though it seems to be a natural feature of the level rather than an unknown Supernatural phenomenon. Weifong's fight is interesting but I think the fire projectiles that spawn each time he's hit should be a little more prevalent. By the way, what is Weifong's Boss theme?

      You bet. I'm planning for this theme to either replace the Boss 3 or Boss 4 Theme as those only fit under very specific circumstances, which is why the majority of the bosses that don't have there own theme use Boss 1 or Boss 2. (Boss 1 is the one used for Petey's First Battle and alot of other fights and Boss 2 is used furthermost used for Dornelly, Bernadette and Toneille's Rematch.) Boss 3 is the one Wade used in the first Battle and Boss 4 the one used by H.U.G.O and Corbo Chuck and now only Corbo Chuck as H.U.G.O is no more.

    I really like how you kept the soul of the original levels while adding new elements that genuinely adds to the experience. The Forest of Shade is probably the biggest example. It took a foggy stage and turned it into a beautiful stage that uses light sources to great effect! Petey's Rematch was particularly good because his basic behavior haven't changed but the environment has, which adds difficulty in subtle ways. As a guy who like boss rematches, this was a simple but elegant way to go about that trope. By the way, what is the music for the Forest of Shade and Petey's Rematch? They're both awesome!

      Glad to here that, so I've got a Fun Fact though. Petey's "Rematch" was done first, I only decided to then also put the Fight in 1-4 as I want to give all "Non-Story" Bosses a Rematch. Some are gonna be Post Game to there difficulty like Sungazer, so Petey on his own is pretty easy, so I did it the other way around. The Theme of the Forest of Shade is a Remix of Thieves Forest from Castle Crashers and the Boss Theme is called Fraymakers - Impetus.

    Loving these revamped levels - Especially Rainy Mosslands having lots of YI Shy Guys and a fight with Petey Piranha! I like Petey's rematch too. And the Boohemoth section in Titanfall Manor.

    The Construction Workers definitely learned a thing or two from the Shovas. I wonder if they are intentionally trying to hurt Mario or if they are simply indirectly being obstacles by doing their jobs.

      It's a similair thing to the Workers in Jager Inc. There aren't evil or anything, but there existence is in the hands of Mayor Becker, so it's best to not get on his bad side for these guys. It's also the reason why the Civillains and Maintenance Workers in 8-1 did not attack in any way as it can't really get worse for them. (In addition to the fact that the Heroes only started to become wanted after escaping Trask's Security Team.)

    Wendy's Castle was already good but with the inclusion of the new Beta 5 elements and Dr. Jumbo, it is really shaping up to be an excellent send off to World 2.

    Character exclusive level design? How did you learn to pull that off? That could give levels ton of replay value!

      It's pretty simple in this case actually. At the beginning of the level I just check for a specific character and if that character is played (Toad/Jill in this case), the Music changes to the alternate tune. Everything else is always there, just not something you get to see the first time around as Jill isen't playable at that stage. I could however also trigger an event the same way, but I don't want to put too much content in that as only players going for 100% will ever see it. So far I also only have a planned passage like this in World 1-3 for whom I'm not sure yet, 2-Fortress for Jill and 5-Fortress for Eric. If I end up making Salvador Kruger a playable character as well, he won't have rooms like this as unlocking him is planned a fetch quest type thing, where you have to talk to a few different NPCs across most of the entire game.

    Two new characters and power-ups? An enemy gallery? Looking forward to playing this even more now that I can use the Superball Flower! I'm also really curious to see how you'll do the enemy gallery. Is it in its own menu? Does it include every enemy and boss in the episode? Do the bosses only become viewable in the gallery after they're defeated?

      Glad to here :) The Enemy Gallery is most likely gonna be level based as I don't have the know-how to code a menu for it. The current plan is for it to be unlocked once you have collected every sphere in the respective world and previous ones. So to the unlock the gallery for World 1, you would just have to get every Sphere in World 1. To unlock the gallery for World 6 for example though, you would have to collect every Sphere in World 6 and the five previous ones. This also ensures that you have to have defeated every foe to view there entry, especially as World 7 has a brancing path where only one variant of 7-2 has to beaten to progress.
