Thank you!! We're pretty proud of offering the best quality in the biz! :) When you say door seams - do you mean the corners of each door? All of our doors are two piece doors - so that shaker "picture frame" is one solid piece which means no seams or joints in any of the corners. They are painted - we don't do any thermofoil (vinyl wrapped) doors as those unfortunately peel and delaminate over time - so we stick with the best products for the longest results :)

Hmm - yep they are framed - BUT it can look frameless because of how tight of an overlay there is :) The quickest way to see that they are framed is to see how the hinges grab onto the frame at the 4 minute mark. Hi there! The biggest overlay you can get is 1 9/16", it's more of a specialty overlay but totally doable! Our team can help you with that. We always want to be careful if the frame is 2" but split between two doors on the hinge side - in which case each door is only working with 1" of frame for it's overlay. Hey there! In this case they are installing a new toekick over top of an existing one! If you are starting from scratch and don't have an existing toekick - you would want to use support blocks from scrap material to either glue or pin nail into. Hope that helps clarify?

Hey there! Are you referring to your handles are mounting into the top rail of the drawer instead of the center? You want to be careful when mounting a handle or screws into the center panel that you don't over tighten - if your handle mounts into the top rail - you can simply follow these instructions and mount the handle in the place of your liking - remember, it's not the handle holding the front to the box!

Good question! Are they framed or frameless? If frameless, all of the exposed areas can be covered with our cover panels, trim, filler and light valences. If framed, we would recommend a melamine primer and then painting in the corresponding Sherwin Williams color that matches our doors! Each of our colors has an exact match Sherwin Williams color :)

Hi there! Good question, we showed a 1/4" reveal with the 1 1/4" overlay on 1 1/2" face frames as this is what most standard cabinets have/want to measure for. But you are correct that hinge overlays come in a wide variety of options so you can even go up to the largest 1 9/16" :)

PL Premium works great as adhesive - for two-sided foam tape, 3M Heavy Duty Mounting Tape is an awesome product!

Good point as well! We see a lot of plinth lock type installs for folks using our toekick on top of IKEA's adjustable cabinet feet. For existing or hardwood toekicks already present, we find the adhesive or pin nail option a little easier for most DIYers! :)

Good question! So if your cabinets are framed, you have to decide on the hinge overlay that you wish to measure for! In this project the face frames were 1 1/2" thick, so a 1 1/4" overlay was chosen. There are standard hinge overlays available - common ones are: 1/2", 3/4", 1", 1 1/4" and 1 9/16". Working with the face frame width and your desired overlay is how you determine what to measure! If your cabinets are frameless, then your measurements are more simple and you are simply working with a standard frameless hinge :)

You don't need to caulk it to the floor as the toekick is fully painted and sealed on all sides. If you do need to trim it down in height, you can simply run the rough edge up towards the cabinets. Caulking if you're interested in an extra step is fine as well - it's user preference! :)

@@NieuCabinetDoors oh, mine came from Lowes unpainted on edges. So even if I painted, it's not the same protection as oil based primer.

Got it! So then a caulking/sealant would be a great idea for you :)

A good primer like Extreme Bond or Kilz is a good foundation if you are unsure of the paint/stain currently on your cabinet frames, which can then be followed by a water based paint.

Our best advice is to chat with your paint store about your cabinet material since the type of roller can vary based on the grain of your cabinets (if any), material (wood, MDF, melamine), and the type of paint you're using (self-levelling or not). It's always a great idea to test it on an area like a scrap piece of material or side panel, too and find what you're most comfortable working with!

Hey there! We're guessing this comment is in reference to working with toekick more like the IKEA system - in this video, we're showing how to install toekick when there is an existing toekick to mount your new one to. A pin nailer also works great, however not everyone has this in their DIY toolkit, so a strong adhesive on top of the existing toekick will provide a durable hold. If you're using an IKEA toekick system and mounting the toekick to the plastic legs, we recommend screwing the clip into the toekick directly and then clipping into place on the support leg. We never recommend using screws through the front of a panel or toekick as it will be visible when installed. Hope that helps! :)

Good question! If the door meet at the center stile (meaning no hinge side of a door is at that stile), you can measure ignoring the stile and deduct from each door's measurement to allow for the doors not to hit each other in the middle. Good question! The drawer in the corner that is shown when they are installing handles was a hack of an IKEA Lazy Susan corner cabinet! They wanted the Lazy Susan interior with a drawer above - so they ordered a custom dovetail drawer from us! You can use either the IKEA drawers or our wooden drawers within IKEA cabinets based on your preferences :)

Yes! On a 1 1/2" face framed cabinet if you want a 1/4" reveal, a 1 1/4" overlay hinge will provide that.

Good question! We assume you mean drawer fronts? With drawer fronts, you have a bit more flexibility since you are not confined by the hinge overlay. We suggest matching the width and height of the drawer front to the door or drawer stack that is beside it, and ensuring a consistent "gap" (reveal) between your doors/drawer fronts for a cohesive look! Not the 1/4" reveal to the left and right, I mean the 1/4" reveal on top and bottom. Measuring formula says to add 1 1/4" to top and bottom height- which would leave 1/4" reveal on the face frame at the bottom (on standard 1 1/2" frame). She installs the cabinet here flush with the bottom face frame by sitting it on that scrap piece of wood. This would then transfer that 1/4" reveal to the top of the cabinet, increasing the gap between the door and upper drawer. If you planned on installing door flush with bottom frame, you would have to calculate that into your measurements from the start. It would be nice if she showed how to install the doors while leaving that 1/4" reveal at the bottom.
