Highlight: Playing wit Myself... On the Guitar!! ;P 12-28-24
Every time I started getting into the groove, the guy in the upper left corner would stop playing lol
For reference, the video I'm playing along with was just one where I'd changed strings and a pickup and was testing the guitar out. I wasn't planning to play along with it later, so it's all *extremely rough*.
And the song is one that I came up with 30 some years ago :)

Merry Christmas! Cleaning, Re-Stringing, and Setting up my Kramer Vintage for Sale :D 12-25-24

So it's Christmas Time and I hope everyone received lots of Cashola, cause I want to sell a guitar! lol ;P Anyway, it'd gotten dusty, and the strings were probably a year old, so I wanted to get it all cleaned up and set up for the next owner, and I thought I might as well stream the whole process, so anyone that might be interested in it, could see all the nitty gritty details, because I want ...

Newbies, DO NOT REPEAT ANYTHING AFTER HIM!!! HE DOESN'T UNDERSTAND ANYTHING ABOUT REPAIRING GUITAR!!! You'll just kill your guitar!!!
These are NOT meant to be tutorial videos, or meant to teach someone the best way to do *anything*. That is why I wrote a huge disclaimer to try and help people understand that. These are just my hobby *live streams*, where I just do stuff, or attempt to do stuff, and people are welcome to watch when I do them, or comment, etc. I actually started streaming as a bit of a social outlet, because I'm only rarely in good enough shape to leave my house. Anyway, you are welcome to your opinion, and I appreciate comments :) I also appreciate suggestions, and even criticism :D Although I'd *prefer* "constructive criticism" ;P I do think "HE DOESN'T UNDERSTAND ANYTHING ABOUT REPAIRING GUITAR!!!" is a bit harsh though lol I just mean, it'd be nice if you had been a bit more specific in what you felt I was doing wrong/dangerously/stupidly/etc. As for this *particular video*, I'm installing a hipshot tremsetter, and I *absolutely did NOT know how to do that*, considering I'm reading the directions for the first time *in the video* lol. Nobody actually knows something, *until after they learn it*, and while I'm doing this video, I am *literally* learning how to do it, according to the instructions that were provided. This comment gets a bit long, so feel free to bail out here if you don't like long comments, or aren't interested :) Anyway, I certainly do NOT know everything about repairing guitars, and I never will. It's been at least 5 years since I did any major work on a guitar, so in many cases I am actually having to learn and/or RElearn *as I stream*. So every mistake I make, is right here, and I make a lot of them. Hopefully, seeing my mistakes might help someone else to avoid the same mistake. But, yeah, I'm *going* to make mistakes, and when I do, you will see it happen, and you can even laugh if you like, it's all good ;) I have NOT "killed" any guitars though. All of *my guitars* that I have worked in these videos, actually ended up working *very well*. And that was my main goal here. As I said in my "disclaimer", I want instruments that play great and that do what I want them to do. So producing something that LOOKS perfect is NOT my highest priority, and it is also *not* within my abilities. I'm a *mechanic*, NOT a luthier. As for what "newbies" should do... Well, if newbies want to work on their guitars, in order to make them sound or play better, then they should try to work on *non destructive* and *reversible* changes to their guitar. Like learning the basic "TRAIN" setup routine. Tune Relief Action Intonation and "Noodle" (as in, play the guitar to see how it acts and sounds) Then repeat as necessary, till it plays and sounds (as close as they can get to) how they like it. Learning to do those things WELL, will probably get them much further towards what they want, much faster, than trying to do major mods to their guitar, or trying to build one from scratch. I'm having to relearn how to do a proper setup because it's been so long since I've done one, and because I have memory issues. But that's what I'm showing in my videos. The process *I* went through, to do what I wanted, or needed, to do. In other words, these are "How/what I did..." videos NOT "How/what to do" videos. Anyway, thanks for the comment, and Happy Holidays! :D Oh! And I'll add "These are NOT tutorial videos" to my descriptions, to help make that more obvious :)
I'll be your first commenter. Good job. 😊
Thanks! :D It was getting kinda lonely here without aaaaany comments ;P
@Sthvhvn Hey! Thanks for the feedback! Although your comment has vanished, i got a copy through my email :) For some reason, I've gotten notifications that you've posted 3 comments on my videos, but then when I go to youtube, *they aren't there* :\ I can find no reference to them anywhere in my youtube studio dashboard, and *as far as I know*, I don't have anything set to remove or hold comments. When I searched about vanishing comments online, google suggested that maybe the comments had gotten deleted for violating policies, or that the person who posted the comment might have already removed it. Well, having seen the comments, I certainly didn't see anything offensive. And IF you are deleting your own comments, that is certainly your right :) However, if this is some sort of youtube glitch that is causing your comments to be deleted, please let me know so I can look into it. I can certainly say *I* have not deleted any of them. And I can also say I appreciated them :) I appreciate any feedback! :D Even if you want to tell me I'm doing it all wrong lol Anyway, I don't see any way to send a direct message in order to ask if there's a glitch deleting your comments, so this was the only way I could think of, to try and find out
I've now listened to some of this on my phone, and a TV, and thought I should add that... How much of the sound comes through, and how it sounds, is going to vary depending on what device you are listening on, what speakers (or headphones) you are listening through, how loud it's turned up, etc. For example, when I was listening at a medium low setting on my phone, a lot of sounds I could hear clearly from the amp's speaker in the room, and over the headphones, were barely audible through my phone, and on my TV, some sounds that were were just as audible on the video as they were from the Amp speaker and over my headset. *but!* actually sounded *much different* than they did in person while I was recording them. That's essentially just the nature of things when attempting to record, then *accurately reproduce*, a given sound... But in a video like this, which attempts specifically to demonstrate some fairly subtle sounds, and minor differences between similar sounds, those kinds of technical differences can *literally* make the difference between being able to hear a particular sound on one device, but *not* be abl3 to hear it at all on another device. Which can be unintentionally misleading, *and* pretty darned awkward for me, if I'm reacting to a sound the audience can't hear lol 😅 Anyway, I thought it might help to clarify that the 3rd meter from the left, is a direct feed from my amp. It's a peavey 6505mh, which had a built in speaker emulator that outputs via USB. So that 3rd meter is that direct USB feed. And *any* time it hits more than about 3 bars from anything other than basic white noise, I am hearing it over my headphones through one ear *and* from a nice deep 4x10 cabinet that's in the room, coming through my right ear. The cabinet is not turned up loud, but it's design makes it have a nice warm bassy-ness to it, making it naturally boost any low-mid and bass tones a bit. The far left meter is the headset mic. That is the *only* mic feed, and I try to remember to turn it off so you can hear *just* the sound being sent from the guitar to the Amp. So if you see the 3rd meter registering, you *should* be hearing something, because that means the guitar *is* sending sound to the pc through the Amp. The higher the meter registers, the louder the sound should be. If the 1st bar is *also* bouncing, then you are *also* getting some of the sound from the room (and likely from the actual speaker box, which is in the room) that's being picked up by my headset mic, as well as the direct guitar/amp feed. If *only* the 1st meter is bouncing, then you are only hearing sound from the room, and if *only* the 3rd meter is bouncing, then you ate only hearing the guitar/amp's direct feed. I don't think I *ever* turned off/muted the guitar/amp's direct feed, so there should be no cases where you hear the guitar *only* from the speaker in the room (over my headset mic) *without* also hearing its direct feed and withour having it register on the 3rd meter. Oh, and I mentioned the *bass boosting* properties of the cabinet in the room for two reasons. The first, is because it makes pretty much all deep/resonant tones much more audible and louder *to me*, in the room, than it sounds over the direct feed. So, unless you are listening on a sound system that also amplifies deep/resonant frequencies as much as that one does, you simply won't be able to hear it the way it was sounding out of the actual guitar cabinet I was using. So a light dull thunk that comes over the feed, would tend to actually produce a medium bass *whump* through my guitar cabinet. Which brings me to the second reason I mentioned the cabinet properties. That is, basically, that how much all these noises and such that are directly being affected by properties of the wood, are going to *also* be either strengthened, or diminished, by how your guitar's signal gets amplified *and* how it's output. I like this particular 4x10 cabinet because it amplifies deep/warm/resonant frequencies really well. The same signal played through my old 5150 cabinet, doesn't accentuate those lower resonant frequencies as well. So, for better or worse, things like your output cabinet/speakers/etc are also part of the final sound equation. That means, you can do something like pick a nice resonant wood for a guitar body, but end up creating a signal and output chain that can effectively cancel out any advantages or desirable properties that might have given. In the 90s, I got frustrated at not being able to get the *full* spectrum of sound that I wanted out of 1 amp and 1 speaker box. So I ended up tri-amping, and one of my boxes was a nice deep box with a carvin 15" bass speaker. That amp was running off an active crossover that only sent it the lower/more resonant bass frequencies from my signal, so I could really pump out those particular frequencies nice crisp and clear, and crunched out a full power palm mute, it'd hit you in the chest. The point there, is that I'd already done things in the first half of my sound production chain that help create the resonant frequencies I wanted, but then I *also* did things in the *second* half of my sound chain, to help *use* those resonant frequencies to produce/reproduce the frequencies I wanted. In other words, picking a wood you like, is only *one variable* the larger equation that will add up to sound/tone you end up with. It probably won't even be the variable that has the most obvious effect. *however*... I *do* consider your body wood to be one of the most important choices, simply because it's essentially impossible to change *after* you've built the guitar. Basically, you can "upgrade" or change *any* other part of the guitar, and it's still *that* guitar. But if you change the *body*, then you are building a different guitar.
You snagged a Shiny Chewboo on the last round! What a good ending! 10 out of 10 :)
You tackled this game in a way we had not yet seen and beat it! Makes me happy to see how accessible we've made the game and that it can be enjoyed no matter your playstyle. Thanks for streaming
I thought that was the intended strategy lol 😅 But I think that's part of what makes a great game. That you *aren't* locked into doing things in only one way. That sparks creativity and potentially opens up ways to change your strategies based on what you're up against. Play to your own strengths, exploit your opponents weaknesses, if you can. Put yourself in positions where you are at an advantage and your opponent will be at a disadvantage whenever possible. This game had so many layers of advantages that can be combined to help you out, OR make it easier for your opponent to crush you lol Like the token's attributes, plus/minus the map/hex attributes. (Not to mention the advantages/disadvantages based on the arrows on the pieces, and terrain blockages that can give either you, or your opponent, protection in key areas/directions) Lots of elements there. Lots of potential :) A bit tough to try and learn it all so quickly, but so rewarding when it works out :) And with all those variations, it makes it something that's not just a one-and-done kind of thing. Which increases replay value. I thought you guys did a really great job :) In face, the balance and presentation was such, that it didn't leave me much to comment on, that seemed like it would really be "helpful". I mean, I encountered no bugs, no problems with the interface, no issues with installation or getting the game to run. It didn't start up with crazy loud music... That right there is actually a compliment, because sooooo many games screw that up, but you guys didn't. And I wouldn't have even noticed if gypsy hadn't mentioned it. Because, like, I don't tend to notice problems that *aren't* there. lol. But, as soon as I realized that common problem *wasn't* there, I was *immediately appreciative!*. Cause, man. Getting your ears blown out by some unskippable opening sequence... That is sooooo infuriating! But! you guys did *not* do that! You did great! But since you guys did so good, I was left with no problems to report lol I liked the characters, I enjoyed the dialog. I just didn't have any real problems. I guess there was one little that I wouldn't mind seeing changed... That involves the "Trump Chart" in the guide book. I'd just been playing a game that uses the elements Earth, Wind, Water, and Fire, so that already seemed like a familiar mechanic... But when I started trying to memorize your trump chart, I realized I didn't know what to *call* anything. Like, Fire and Water were really obvious... But the green... I immediately thought of "Earth" because of the game I'd just been playing. Or possibly nature? (My mind was still on "Elements". Then somebody said the green one was "Grass", which was fine :) I mean, it gave me a *name* I could work with, so I could tell myself, in my head: "Fire beats Grass, but Grass beats Water and..." Then I ran into the Red Pentagon? lol I didn't know what to call that. It was red, but I knew it couldn't be fire, because that was already taken. It looked sort of like a Jewel, but... Then there was maybe a Pink/Purple Jellyfish? At that point I was in big trouble, cause I couldn't memorize things I couldn't name ;( *Luckily*, those two attributes didn't come up in the tutorial, but it still presented a problem because I naturally wanted to try and memorize the Trump Chart all at once, but couldn't because that kept throwing me off. But, yeah, I kept going back and glancing over the guide in an effort to figure out the names of the attributes, but if they are in there, I couldn't find them. Just need to know what to call those things, so my brain can work with them :) Anyway, thanks for bringing our attention to the game, and *for having a demo*! I love being able to try something out a bit before buying it. I wish *every* game had a demo lol" And I'll be looking forward to trying out the pvp element when that gets implemented :)
Agreed. All games should have demos!
Great game!!!!!! I only wish I could get in on my computer.
I had a lot of fun with it the other day :D I haven't been able to get back to it yet though :\ I am playing it on my PC using an emulator. There are lots of emulators out there. I have been using RetroArch for emulation lately. RetroArch is a frontend for emulators, game engines and media players. So Retroarch, by itself, isn't an emulator. Rather, you use the RetroArch *frontend* (A "Front End" is basically just another word for "User Interface") to load whatever emulator and rom you want to use. I'm using the Steam version of RetroArch, so I launch it through steam. It can be a little complicated to get it all set up at first, but once you get things set up, it's just a few clicks to start whatever you want :) There are lots of tutorials on youtube about how to get RetroArch and how to set it up, if you want to try it. Oh, and RetroArch is free btw. Actually, if you are just wanting to play this one game and haven't used emulators much, it'd probably be easiest just to find a standalone Nintendo emulator. So, basically, just google Nes Emulator and that should bring up info on finding one you like :) I'm not the one to ask about where to get the roms though lol Anyway, take care, have fun, and feel free to ask questions if you have any :)
Oops! I'm an idiot, this is actually a *Super* nintendo game, not a regular NES game. So if you want to get an emulator for it, you'd want to search for SNES emulator. Doh! 🤦♂
@@chrischaf Thank you so much!!!! I do have it for SNES. But after losing all my saves for 7 years from my PS3... I am opting to get everything on the PC to save to multiple hard drives so that never happens again. HUGE thanks for your response!! : )
@@whatareyoulookingat908 Oh geez, sorry to hear you lost all your saves! 🥺
There's a pretty fun and exciting little battle on here that starts around 32:38, but I'd start @29:53 to give some lead-in, and to show where we picked up Sarge :)
If there would be a Emotional Damage Kamen Rider, it would have an Ex-Aid gimmick
Does it work in Chrome as well?
Sorry for the late reply. I don't generally use chrome, so I had to look up the info. It looks like you can do it using these directions I found online, although I must point out that I have never done it, so I have no personal experience in this regard. "Here’s how to clear the browser cache for just one web page: Open the webpage you want to clear the cache for, and go into Chrome Developer Tools. That’s CMD+Option+I on a Mac, and CTRL+Shift+I or F12 on Windows, Linux, and Chromebooks. From here, you’ll want to find the Refresh button next to the address bar Click Empty Cache and Hard Reload in the list of options, and you’re done. The cache for this website, and this website only, has been emptied. You won’t need to do anything in developer tools, but you won’t see the Empty Cache and Hard Reload option if you don’t have developer tools open."
Forgot to wish you luck! Good luck and have a great week! ;D
You guys are hilarious
Thanks! We were having a hoot playing this game, and by the time we ran through the second time, so we could swap characters and make some different decisions, we were dying lol Special thanks to JoyBoy, who always seems to bring out the extra lols ;D
I was having the same problem, worked a treat! Thank you for sharing
Glad it helped! happy raiding :D
I make this game but name this game master chief's?
Sorry, i'm not quite sure what your question is, but if you are asking about, like, why it's called Master Chief's Collection, and Halo One... Basically, the first/original Halo game was named "Halo: Combat Evolved". Then, later on, they did a sort of "Remaster" of the original game, and they called that "Halo: Anniversary". Then, a while after that, they introduced "The Master Chief Collection" on Steam, which was meant to have pretty much all the halo games in one big collection, *but*, it wasn't ready all at once, so they released the different games over time as "installments", and you could either buy the whole collection, or just some of the games. I think they also did some various tweaks/updates to at least some of the games when they were re-released as part of The Master Chief collection, but don't quote me on that ;P Anyway, here is the steam description of the version of the game that we are playing, which is the version that is a part of The Master Chief Collection. (oh! and they call it "the second installment", but it's really the *first* halo game. it was just the second one to be RE-released") About This Content Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary comes to PC as the second installment of Halo: The Master Chief Collection. Thanks for this! I was getting a slightly different error, but this worked perfectly! Thank you so much!
Awesome! Glad it helped! :D Do you happen to remember what error you were getting? If so, i can add it to the description. Take care and happy raiding! ~~^_^
@@chrischaf The error was something like... "Script error: Javascript". It was really strange and basic but your fix worked perfectly. I too was using Firefox as my browser.
@@TheXev Thanks for the extra info :D I went ahead and added that a viewer had fixed a javascript related error as well, to the description :)
Nice job. I hold "support" people in contempt who casually tell users to wipe out all their saved web use and cache data when a simpler fix--like this one--works.
Well, while "carpet bombing" is usually the *simplest* approach, it's rarely the most elegant. I do prefer a "surgical strike" whenever possible ;) Glad I could help! ~~^_^
Thank you very much!
My pleasure! Happy to help :D
This fixed the error for me, thank you!
Awesome, glad it helped! :D Happy raiding! ;)
Thanks so much. I'm such a computer noob that i had no idea how to fix this problem. :)
Happy to help, glad it worked for you! :D Have a good weekend ;)

#whatskraken Works

Thank you!!! Have a great day :)
You're quite welcome! Hope you have a great day too! :D
This is awesome. The error popped up yesterday for me and I was about to give up. But your video is super easy to follow and actually focuses and shows the error and how to fix it. I love clear-cut instructions that work. Many thanks for that easy fix! <3
Awesome! Glad it helped you out. I swear it gives me a smile every time I hear this has helped another person. Makes my day to know that I was able to help someone else achieve something that brightens their day :)
THANK YOU!
Happy to help! hope ya have a great weekend! ~~^_^
@@chrischaf Oh you did! For some reason this game plays TERRIBLE on chrome so i've always used firefox for it but i was getting that error and couldnt play for days. You saved me~!
@@DegenTP I've never tried it in chrome. I only use chrome for showing my channel chat when I stream on Twitch. I have used it in Microsoft Edge, and it worked fine, but I hate Edge lol. Maybe I'm just getting too old for change, but I always stick with Firefox as my main browser, been using it ever since my dad got me hooked on it almost 20 years ago ;) If you like chrome, you might check around to see if there are any tweaks to make stream raiders work better with it. If it worked well in the beginning, but got worse over time, then it might be worth checking to see if there's an easy way to wipe the site cache similar to the way it's done in firefox. I know that when I wiped mine just before making this video, the Stream raiders cache was over a gig, but *after* wiping it, the cache only went back up to a few hundred megabytes. which makes me suspect a fair amount of old junk gets left behind during updates and such, which could potentially lead to problems over time. Happy Raiding! ;D
Cool video, looking forward to seeing more uploads. I recommend Promosm to grow your channel!
Trying this now.. fingers crossed.
did it work? don't leave us hanging in suspense! lol
@@chrischaf Your helpful video did indeed solve the issue! I had to close my firefox browser and re-open it for the fix to take effect. I nearly shook off the Stream Raider addiction but thanks to you, I can happily get back to placing units and growing in strength. A close call there ;)
@@doandroidzdream Awesome! I think... Maybe I shouldn't be supporting addictions, but in this case i'm an addict myself so I can't help it ;P
This worked perfectly. Thank you!
Awesome! Happy to be of service! Have a great weekend ;D
Thank you!!! I truly appreciate you sharing this, I missed playing.
Awesome! Glad it helped out! I know it sure was driving me crazy till i figured it out. If you hear of anyone else having the same problem, pass on the word of how to fix it ;D
thanks (:
Happy to help ;D
Thank you so much... fixed my stream raiders right up... as stated in another comment my issues started after the 4/14/21 update(didn't play a single game in that update)
That's great! glad to here this is still helping out! if you hear of anyone else having similar problems, please share the knowledge of how to fix it with them. people helping people, ya know? ;D
Ayy thank you so much man! Couldn't get into streamraiders for days because of this issue and couldn't find much to fix it until now, you're a lifesaver!! :D <3
Glad it helped! If you hear of anyone else having the problem, spread the word on how to fix it ;D
Thanks! Had this issue after the 4/14/21 update, and this fixed it!
Awesome! Makes my day to find out I was able to help somebody else out :D seems like a few people get hit by this every time there's a big update, so be sure to tell other fellow stream raiders how to fix it if you hear they've ended up with this issue. it seems like a recurring problem that's probably not going away any time soon, so the more people this kind of info reaches, the better ;) Take care and have a great day! ~~^_^
Exelente juego y buen video. you're pretty good.
Muchas gracias! :D I'm glad you enjoyed it. I loved the game and had a lot of fun making the video ~~^_^
Sorry I'm usually right on top of caching your streams lol rock on dude 😎
Hey outlaw! Haven't heard from you for a while, hope everything is going well for ya :F
oops. apparently i accidentally muted about halfway through and never realized it till now. wow. sorry!
@1:42:15 Horde night starts :)
Well... It *sort of* starts... 22:00 (game time) is the official start time for the horde, but for some reason it seemed to take a while for them to show up and for things to get going. This was kind of an usual horde night in several ways. lol
Classic ark troubles lol
Yeah I didn't know you could bola the one flying the bird lol Oops! On a side note, I did actually live through it. The poison knocked me out for a bit, but somehow no snakes, or alligators or, or bugs, or etc found me while i was unconscious in that little cave. I believe *dumb luck* played a large part in my survival ;P We all mourn the loss of radio though... an innocent victim of my ignorance... ;( R.I.P. Radioman03... he was one of the good ones...
