Hey mate not sure which fuse rail you have but the one wired in my video will only show led of fuse is blown. Which is the purpose of being able to identify the issue if there ever is one.

Hey mate so fuse 1 and 2 from memory without checking my notes is 1 green is low beams 2 is high beams then the next couple are all constant battery feeds to like stop lights, efi and what not. I'm actually compiling some of my wiring stuff on my pateron account, which will be live shortly. Will post link once I put it live as it will have all wiring diagrams of each of my cars that I have worked on in the past.

Thanks mate, I really enjoyed it and I guess thst helps when your taking your time to learn something totally new. I should have done that and welded the inside also but I was so adamant on doing the outside that I did fill the xenter up a few times and die grind it all out to clean. Still need to build a little pressure tester to test I've got everything welded up.

Hi JD, I woke up to the news yesterday and was shattered to here of her passing. It's so crazy to think that I personally got to meet and greet her only a few months ago and now this. Sending prayers from australia to all the drag racing community in mourning and to the musi family 🙏 take care

Hey mate, I personally haven't played with any ecotec's or later model v6's so I don't have any direct experience. However my 2 stock bottom end buicks that I just did some top end work to where very strong and took alot of abuse. Ended up running 11.2 on a stock bottom end buick which I believe would have easily gone a high 10 with a converter change but didn't choose to persist.

Heaps of blokes have run 10s in super charged VX V6s with a SBE

I highly agree with you, I honestly bought this car per you see it which was in a garage just covered in dust. I think the trailer ride home swept some of it haha and it just looked so much better. After it was washed i questioned whether I'd just get it running and sell it but then trying to find another car and what not. It is what it is I'm keeping firm and this car will not be touched on the outside, I want to keep the original love bumps and bent bumper and do my best to at least preserve the originality on the outside of the car.

So I was looking at quite a few conversions that was one of them however not for this 6 cylinder shell. An ecoboost out of a mustang would be a ripper package and I'm sure someone eventually will crack on with one in a cortina surely. Ooo nice a 1uz that's nice and light and in a cortina would be a killer package.

Jesus $10k back then! I bought my first cortina back then for $1k. Weird as they had plenty cortinas already over there so unless it was because of a 6 cylinder shell and due to them not getting them over there.

I think buicks are stronger than an ecotec in terms of bottom ends. I believe however its all in the tune. You can make anything last or die if it's not tuned right for the purpose being used.

Generally people when they are doing a Turbo L36, always uses the L36 Block Bottom End Stock crank and can use forged Pistons, Conrods and Camshaft and pull some good numbers, alongside having a V8 Diff as they're a stronger diff

Yep I knew someone would pick on that. Haha Yep so it should have been said that select very early tc's had a flat firewall. Mine is Jan 72 model I'm fairly certain you will find in the later months the flat firewalls where no longer I don't believe I've seen a 73 tc with a flat firewall.

Yeah spot on the sun visors are sweet and suits this combo really well nice sleeper look. I like the xy tear drop mirrors and I think thats going to be my little added touch eventually.

Cheers mate =). It's amazing what an exhaust can do to a car. 3inch system with bullet high flow cat, Rear resonator with straight through muffler. Please plumb your wastegate into your exhaust!!! and you will get my tick of approval regardless how it sounds haha!

I've had a misfire due to ignition leads arching on the manifolds many times. Have since fixed it with a set of my custom leads I make up. However so many reasons it could be miss firing. Coils packs and dfi module are common.

@@stavjetauto I’ve tested the coil packs and modules but my manifolds are really close to the plugs from the way I’ve made them. How would you test to see that’s the problem? Is there any other platform I can text you on like facebook?

3582 Chinese turbo

Look 3.9s have there place don't get me wrong but 3.45s would be as far as I'd go for any decent turbo build. As 3.9s will turn the tyres with an na v6

It's great that people still recognise the car from that long ago. The new owner Chris I believe is looking to get it all engineered and legal here in Victoria. Should be cool to see on the roads also!

This is an easy task, 3.9 diff gears or 4.11's should do the job. Add a 3000rpm converter and you will have a bullet out the whole. That is of course if you have the tires to hookup. Add a camshaft to that mix and you will have him down low and up high. Std coils are fine and stock fuel system is plenty enough to do the task

@@stavjetauto spent the last few years fixing the basic stuff engine is pretty much new.done top gaskets,just normal gaskets,it already runs as good or better than I remember they did.thanks for the info good to see someone get a decent time
