Corsair 110Q Mid-Tower - Unboxing & build
No lights. No RGB. No tempered glass. The only "out of the ordinary" feature that the 110Q has is sound-dampening material. Join me as I use the Corsair for a mid-range build and share my thoughts on this chassis that looks as though it comes out of a forgotten era.

1TB Sabrent Rocket PCI-E 4.0 - Testing / cloning / thoughts on Gen4 storage

It's fast... REALLY fast. But is it practical, cost-effective and worthwhile to upgrade to Gen4? Um... no. Watch me install, test and struggle to clone my OS to my brand spanking new (sort of) 1TB Sabrent Rocket Gen4 NVMe drive and then share my thoughts on Gen4 storage. There a card was slipping into the gap some times and thereby keeping the whole stack from falling on the feeding roll. Check your machine for burs and gaps above the feeding roller. At this price I'm shure there are plenty :)

for old ryzen cpu likze 5 3600 (zen2) you need to: Stable DRAM. • Disabled Curve Optimizer (in BIOS). PBO - no matter. • Manual CPU LLC (Load Line Calibration). ASUS - 3, MSI - 4, ASRock - 2, GIGABYTE - High. You also have every right to use whichever mode you like. • CPU Voltage - Auto (in BIOS). Offset is forbidden. • Windows 10 build 2004 or newer. • Power plan - Balanced (tip). • Some monitoring programs can cause problems. Also programs to control RGB, such as iCUE, can also cause problems. Tip - keep your applications up to date. • Use the most actual version of the chipset drivers. • Do not try to run 2 programs at the same time that have the ability to overclock the processor. Also I noticed, you add a nice cooler on ram "Arctic RC Pro", strong cpu cooler, remove tons of unnecessary backround apps, and tighten ram clocks with clock tuner or yourself. You might increase performance up 1000 pts. Ryzen 3600x might work very close to 4000 even with bronze. Ram cooler , PBO turning off also gives lots of boost, with manual load line calibration. for ryzen 7 or 9, hydra software is usued instead ctr. Same developer, but unlocks lots of things. For new chips. Like PX profile, that sadly you cannot use for 3600x chip,

Lower voltages if you choose to under-volt and don’t mind a lower frequency also. Depending on your chip’s rating, performance gains can be quite large if you use the software correctly. It has a steep learning curve and will take some time to complete on higher rated (gold, platinum) CPU’s. I reduced my highest clocked profile by 50 Mhz for added stability and changed the others to reflect the same settings and then enabled them all. I was able to achieve a 700 Mhz overclock on my gold rated 3700x and 400 Mhz on my 3600. In my experience, the “X” chips will clock higher and is probably AMD’s unofficial way to bin their chips……………at least this is what I surmise in my experience with Ryzen………both with this tool and manual overclocking.

Sure you know this by now, but you can use a splitter for the fans. I have the same board, I have nine fans and I used splitters. I did use an AIO which pump uses a SATA connection, so connected the six fans on the 360 AIO (push/pull) to the two CPU headers and the other three fans to a second header leaving one free header. Dealing with controlling fans and RGB is still just awkward. Not too many controllers out there that work well and are available and also not proprietary.

I also used fan splitters. Just sad that I needed to do that at all for using just four fans. And on a motherboard called Elite from a very well-known vendor that has been manufacturing gaming hardware for years.
