There is one thing i wanna leave behind here that i had in my mind, to be honest i wish this was maybe future added to maybe explain it like this
1. Jack after knowing his Mother (Night Swan) made his friends evil, he felt like he was not good enough and lost hope that he Lost Himself thus Lose Yourself was the song, and it would make sense cause it would be some sorta Alternative universe where he just gave up quick that he is still Jack Rose but no longer the one we knew
2. It felt like a aftermath that would be nice for 2024 cause in 2023 he was in Night Swans tower after her defeat and he decided to run away after that and tried to make his life worth better then the one he had, and when he sees at the end the Tower he probably felt mkre comfortable living a life at least to have some clothes, maybe food and such cause he lived in the streets but hesitating since his mom surely would be angry with him after his betrayal
Thats all i wanna say cause this song fits very well for our Jack Rose 🌹 the one we depend and save his friends, though it is also up to his choice either to go and save them or be on his mothers side forever

I agree that the song goes really well as well mainly cause of the lyrics such as
1:46 - “The clocks run out times up over”
1:54 - “He’s so mad but he won’t give up that easy”
2:17 - “You only get one shot do not miss your chance to blow”
Also theory at 2:56 he talks about his Father but what caught my eye is this lyrics at 2:59
“He goes home and barely knows his own daughter”

I assume that this will be the first song of the JD2025 story. A polar opposite to the happy upbeat songs we are used to from wanderlust. After jack loosing all of his friends and family, he has no one, no hope, he has lost himself. Its only till the end of the song where he looks towards the statue (Mirroring him looking out to the swan boat at the end of 2024) that he remembers that his mother is still out there causing harm. He feels guilty that he wasn't there when he was needed. I wouldn't be surprised if through the course of the story, jack starts a rebellion in the swan city possibly even learning to master the flow as the city does look very similar to Mihaly's, which also would explain the night swan poster in her room. I also feel like the traveller is going to be involved somehow, after all he is the only other one (that we know of) who can travel through the danceverses besides the disco ball. Possibly it could even be revealed that jack and the traveller have some sort of familial relationship. I would lean towards the traveller and night swan being siblings, which would make jack and wanderlust cousins. Idk its just a theory XD

They were never confirmed for 2024. They’ve might have been done around the release of 2024. Could be planned for 2025.
I’m pretty sure they are being added later in 2024 like this map is based after the lore that’s already happened and i don’t think there crazy enough to leave a cliff hanger in 2024 and make us wait for the next game

Can’t believe Lose Yourself was scrapped (So did Hip and Whine Up). But basically I’m surprised Whine Up has been added to the Wii Mod. We even also have in the Wii Version I’m Good Extreme.

So these are my theories about the choice to use a different performer than Mickael (Jack’s performer):
1. this is a flashback.
First theory is that this is a flashback to a younger, more rebellious Jack Rose that ran away to the streets to avoid his mother, showing that their relationship was maybe more strained than what we actually thought. They maybe chose a different performer to differentiate between adult Jack and teen Jack.
2. Mickael was busy.
Mickael is a coach in the song “Butter” from JD2024, meaning it could be very possible that the schedules did not match up and he had to be replaced for the recording of Lose Yourself. And although I doubt it, this could be the reason it was scrapped. Maybe they’re planning to re-record it with Mickael but I also doubt that since they finished the map.
3. They needed a more skilled performer.
Now, Lose Yourself has a pretty complex choreography with its jumps and stuff. I’m no expert but maybe there wasn’t enough time for the choreography to be practiced so they had to squeeze in someone else.
Those are my thoughts, but I’m still upset this didn’t make it into the base game.

I just love the idea of Jack seeing all of his friends get new outfits after turning evil, so he got changed before saving them lol
This is my prediction
So jack found out that is friends got turned evil by him mom so he tried to be like them. It failed. He felt like he was forgetting who he was so he went to his moms tower to go fight her and this song is the story to the tower. In the song he’s talking about how he only has one shot to turn them normal or else he will turn evil. I also think he may be trying to blend in.
Actually this would make alot of sense with the cliffhanger we got at the end of Dance With The Swan.

the lore behind in one simple explaniation is this:
After Night Swan takes the other just dancers, night swan took this city under her control, then her minions started advertising her posters. (it seems like t-bam (pulse) surivived the minions), jack went like this to not be seen her mother, and then jack ior the other abonded people wrote lose yourself as graffiti, and and he expresses how sad life is without the other just dancers. and at the end, when jack goes up to the same background as sweet dreams, he sees night swan statue, signifying she ruled the city...

I feel like this would be perfect if Just Dance decides to do Jack Rose lore like when he was a kid(idk what song would be for that part of his life) and this one fits his teen years.
Or, this could be for in the future where he lost all hope of getting his friends back and now has a kid of his own and they help him get his friends back (this sounded better in my head lol)
There is literally no reason for them to scrap a fully completed dance that had so much go into it. I’m like 99% certain they just decided it will fit better at the start of 2025 story mode rather than the end of 2024 story mode.

What if in just dance 2025 thid song gets reintroduced buthe is now a leader of rebel against night swan and this song is to introduce the rebel leader. Then at some point jack rose meets him by accident, but he helps with their rebellion so that he can help get the just dancers back and also stop nightswan, but then, at the end of the story mode the rebellion finds out jack is night swans son and thats where it leaves off on a cliffhanger?

I hate to be the “pack it up the fun police are here” person, but now that the reveals for Night Swan’s prequel songs are out and it turns out they scrapped Sweet Dreams due to all the leaks, I think we should be more careful with this song and try to limit our engagement with these leaks so they become less widespread and we don’t lose another great song
Don’t get me wrong, I’m sure it will be amazing with Darkest Hour- it was going to be amazing Sweet Dreams or no Sweet Dreams, but considering the amount of leaks that song got which ultimately caused Ubisoft to replace it makes me concerned for this song
Ofc everyone in the comments is obsessed with this song, me too, but because of that I don’t want to lose it from all the leaks
Everything about this song from the costuming to choreo to the wordplay was too perfect for the story they’re telling here, so losing that due to leaks would seriously drag down the story, and we’d lose the most fitting and perfect song for this scenario
I’m not saying “we should take all of these leaks down” but maybe we should start limiting engagement a bit- stop posting it from this point forward and refrain from engaging with any new posts involving this song- sure it’s not as widespread as Sweet Dreams, but risking losing this song isn’t that good of an idea now that we’ve learned our lesson
