I solved this whole problem by purchasing the upgraded clamp. No more movement or noise in the stem. In my opinion the scooter should be shipped from new with the upgraded clamp as the standard clamp is problematic.
I have the rugged clamp but there is still some stem wobble, there’s simply no way to solve this issue, I raised the point the shop where I purchased my 10x and they said ever scooter with a single stem has slight movement in it, seems dodgy to me as I want everything to be stuck in place without any movement at all
Hi, can you please tells us how to solve the loud creaking sound coming from the stem? I've looked around the Internet for a solution and all I found was a lot of other owners of 10x complaining about this problem.
I put grease right inside the two slits on the side. You have to undo the two screws and the settings screws to be able to lift the top part of the stem so that you can fit some grease in this. Basically you want grease between where both parts of the stem meet. Even with the clamp upgrade and spacer I still got a bit of noise. After putting grease the stem is just crazy silent. Good luck.
@@bojna1 Thanks. I did just that about 6 months ago, and it worked... for about a week, then the creaking reappeared. So I did something else: I wrapped that portion of the stem with a thin duct tape. Since then I never had a problem anymore.
AXgamesoft i’m really surprised. Did you actually take out the screws and partially pull out the top stem and get the grease inside the shaft so that it will be between both top and bottom parts of the stem? Anyway glad you found a way to make that horrible sound go away.
@@bojna1 Yeah, but the grease wasn't thick enough, and so it eventually allowed the inner metal to grind against the outer metal. Maybe it works better in your case because you used a thicker grease.
Yeah I agree. Mine is like an old car door going around town. SUPER ANNOYING SOUND. Have asked around but nobody seems to have a solution other than pissing oil against it
@@AXgamesoft.Official hey! Yes I've just received my 8x and it's the same. You know the two black knobs you have to turn to tighten the steering column clamps? I found them very difficult to tighten fully. My advice is, first turn them as tight as you can, close the clamps. Get on the scooter, pretend your riding, push back and forward gently. Get off the scooter undo the clamps, now you'll notice your able to screw the knobs further. Repeat the process until there is almost no gap inbetween the knobs and the other side of the clamp. You could try wd40 to help the screwing process easier. If this fails, follow falcons video for alternatives. For me though, I found it was the thing I mentioned to be most important. People have also suggested plumbers grease, but this should only be needed after a long while, not when brand new. Hope this helps! Enjoy the ride!
@@lukegraham558 Hi, thank you for the advice, I tried it, but still no effect, the creaking sound is still there. And the Falcon PEV videos don't offer any usable advice for this.
Get a coke can and cut top and bottom off . Fold the can flat and then top to bottom folded again . Now you have 4 times the thickness . Cut out shims to go betweem handlebar stem and bottom stem . Fold handle bars sown and insert . Cut to exact size so that sleeve can go back down and tighten and retighten quick release . Done but wear glovesc!
I had that issue when my 10X was brand new, but after adjusting the stem clamp a few times it seemed to go away. It was either that or it just sorted itself out after a few rides, as it is smooth steering now.
@@DanielMatotek it did go away after a few rides. I thought I had just gotten used to it but when asking others after their first ride they hadn’t noticed anything so it must have just needed some breaking in.

yup, very similar setup to my Mantis 10, and to be honest, it's a junk setup.

Put some Gear Grease on all the folding mechanism parts, solved it for me.

Hello, can you give advice on how to stop the creaking sound that comes from the handlebar?

I have that creaking sound too, even though is a one week old 10x with just 18 km traveled.

What is the size of the nut that retains the first bolt? Mine fell off and I want to replace it.
the two small screws on the side are to tight on mine. It is physical impossible to loosen them without something to brake :(
small trick, take a lighter and heat up the screws to melt the glue that binds them.

The best way to solve this problem is to have the 20mm bottom part twice as long . This is a design shortfall.
Almost all of these scooters seem to have fail designs, no matter the price.
When steering I find that my scooter sort of snaps into the forward facing directing and makes smooth steering impossible. Any advice?
