1- Dance Masters of PA, 3rd place
2- DEA in Pittsburgh, 4th place
3- Fire & Ice in Pittsburgh, 2nd place
4- Dance Masters of PA (Seven springs), did not place
5- DEA Nationals in NYC, 1st place
When Paige had more time to learn her dances and she wasn’t super rushed she obviously did much better
Agreed
And this was always the problem … She could not learn the choreography quickly enough for the show. And as you can see with this dance, her choreo often matched the lyrics of the song. So when music was changed for copyright issues or she had 3 days to learn a new solo, it was too difficult for her. I don’t think these expectations were ever laid out prior to the start of the show or I doubt Kelly would have put her on it.

@@KateMich12 yeah Abby said that they never auditioned the dancers like a real audition and so they didn’t know if they could pick up the choreography fast
@@KateMich12 At one point it was said the cast thought they were voting to be pro forming the same dances at every comp.
When not set up to fail, this was a completely underrated dancer. Very clean routine from Paige.
this just goes to show that Paige clearly could do so much more than what was shown on the show
Fun fact about this solo, this was her mother Kelly’s solo when she dance with Abby. Same costume as well.
The costume is different
It’s still on theme is what I meant to say. Kelly’s was a sailor unitard and Paiges is just a two piece. But, same concept different styling

I am amazed and so grateful for you guys! Paige was incredible here. I don’t know why Abby said she was never meant to be a dancer. Before the show her musical theatre was great! She had amazing potential. The show just stunted her improvement after she broke her foot.
Because, if Abby had encouraged all of the dancers equally, it wouldn't have created drama and rivalries, which created all kinds of mental issues in literal children, but also led to good ratings.
and she improved so much in s4! if only she had been in a supportive environment!
@@abbythings she improved with some things. Like different skills and tricks she could do. But technique unfortunately never really improved. Although it’s didn’t help that on the show Abby always gave Paige watered down choreography that was for children far younger than her and very little technique classes.
@@Venus_God2001 disagree, if u compare her dancing in ooh la la, buckle up, and s4 groups to the earlier i think she definitely improved technique wise
@@abbythings tbh I have to disagree with this statement. Paige had a real bad habit of not pointing her feet. Having sloppy turnouts when doing turns. Started to lose flexibility due to growing. A lot of the time when doing side aerials she bent her knees. Sloppy relevé at times too. Don’t get me wrong though! Paige is probably my favourite girl on the show. But she really didn’t improve a whole lot on the show. Granted we didn’t get to see some of her solos (People & Poison Apple). I will say that Paige had really good facials that rivalled Maddie though. She was very advanced at acro but as I said. Her feet were almost always flexed and not pointed. So a lot of her tricks were executed with bad-mediocre technique. I did love her signature move the straddle handstand press up though (i think that’s what you call it…). But yeah, Paige was a mid-rank dancer until she had her foot injured from doing the back tuck on the floor in the dressing room. After that injury she was never the same and lost a lot of the momentum she had in season 2.
Paige had such potential. She deserved better.
PAIGE IS HONESTLY SO UNDERRATED SHE HAD SO MUCH POTENTIAL IF SHE WENT TO ANOTHER STUDIO
since I watched it fully I’m really impressed but I will say that it looks like her flexibility was lacking slightly and I think it might be cause the pants were tight which isn’t shocking cause it is known that she would get costumes that didn’t fit but it was just something I noticed BUT STILL SHE WAS AMAZING AND SHE WILL FOREVER BE MY FAV GIRL FROM DANCE MOMS
I think her flexibility was fine, but yeah the pants were kinda trouble, but her leaps and jumps were so high!

her improvement in acro between this and boys boys boys is amazing
she was rapidly improving from 2008-2011, and then the show started and ruined it ugh

She had everything a child dancer should have, amazing flexibility, good facial expressions, a lot of energy
Apparently Paige and Chloe were Maddie’s biggest competition before the show so it rlly shows that Paige was a good dancer.She just wasn’t abled to learn the choreography as fast as the other kids could,the show also wasn’t realistic in terms of how much the kids rehearsed and prepared for competitions.Other dance companies would learn their dances MONTHS prior to a dance competition.

@@iluvmadsduh Yes I also believe this.They were under so much pressure it's just sad.They were only kids yet they practiced like adults(my personal opinion)
@@hanniology6990 it’s because in this dance you can see the dance matches the song, but in dance moms she either got a song last minute or got a completely different dance so obviously she couldn’t remember the dance because she relied on the lyrics
@@UnicornBySprinkle Yes I believe Paige was set up to fail because this almost ALWAYS happened to Paige and only to Paige.I feel bad for her she could have been such a good dancer and maybe could have even been on Broadway she had the looks the energy and was really passionate about dance…Yk before Abby took that all away.
I’m so happy you found this. It’s so nice to see Paige perform a proper competition number compared to a dance she rushed to learn in two days for dance moms.
this brings back memories! it’s enough to see dances off the show from 2011-2012, but 2010 just brings that old timey charm!
I wish paige was never on the show. She seems to enjoy herself more in this 2:33 video then she did during her entire time on dance moms. She looked adorable in that dress. She could have still been dancing if she was put in a good environment.

Honestly paige peaked right before the show
i smiled the ENTIRE time i watched this! you could see the fun she was having with this piece and she had so much energy. easily one of the cutest dances ive seen, and she had decent technique! when given more time she really ate it up
Paige was brilliant, it was entreteining and her técnic was really good! I wish she had more musical theatres solos.
Fun fact: If Paige would stay on the show she was gonna do friday night
After watching Brave New Girl, she made a MASSIVE improvement in her dancing in this solo. At least I think so

Wow I loved this! This song is from South Pacific the Musical. I was in this show and played Ngana and it was so fun! But this solo was interesting, fun, and well done.

Her right arm has a mind of its own, through parts of this dance it’s like it’s just flopping and dangling around. And this was before dance moms meaning she had 6 months to a year to work on this solo.
Paige just makes me smile she had IMO the best facial expressions on the show such a cutie.
She did so good! Just shows when she had more time and wasn’t rushed she rlly could be outstanding and entertaining 😊

All the girls appear to have more passion for dance before Dance Mom's and they were better, I saw a video of Kendal and her sister, they were amazing, Abby broke every one of them down to build Maddie up in my opinion
