Thank you so much for sharing all the beautiful patterns!! Your commentary on each was appreciated and I’ve definitely added a few to my favourites (and realized in the process some were already there haha). As someone who listens/watches to knitting videos while knitting, in the future it would be amazing if you could please leave the image of the item that you are talking about up on the screen for longer! It was a bit hard to know when I needed to look at the screen for the image and then in general it is nice to be able to look at the features you are describing as you describe them instead of having to jump back. :)
I love the LOTR cardi 🙂 So cool. I recommend the Harry Potter Knitting Books too. In the 1st Volume there is a cardigan, called the "House Cardigan", which I have knitted twice already. The pattern is so well written, that one can just use it as a basic pattern and change colours or add stripes etc, if wished. Huggs from Germany.
@@Homegrownknits Some single HP pattern can also be found on Ravelry, like a House Slipover 🙂 It is called Hogwarts School Vest and the pattern is by Hobbie`s House of Wizzard Wear. I like this single pattern. It is well written. There are other single ones out there, but they are not so great. ;-) The books though I can heartily recommend. There is also 1 crochet HP out there as well. 🙂
These are all new to me and I’m excited to check them out! Thank you for being sensitive to size inclusivity. Really enjoying your podcast! Thank you for sharing with us!
I just got the pattern for the step by step cardigan from florence miller and the fitting yarn. I am really excited to start my first big project. I am really happy i found a pattern with a video tutorial since i learn so much better with visuals. I loved your video and your recommendations. Thank you so much! ❤
@@wklilly1 thank you for your recommendation. I do not like the construction of the cardigan you mentioned simply because I have a bigger bust and I know that square button band will flop around whenever I wear it open. I downloaded the app though and I am excited to see it's quite nicely done. Thank you! 🥹
I'm working on the Gaon Cardi as I'm watching this! Oh, I see now that there are 2 versions of it..I'm doing the Gaon Cardigan 'Aran', which is worked seamless with rib 'darts' on the front. I'm enjoying making it, and have never done a sweater with that type of construction before. At first I was confused where to pick up stitches when working the yoke, took me a minute to figure it out, ha.
Hi there ! Nice selection, I'm currently knitting the Step by Step Cardigan by @handmadebyflorence . It's well written and the video tutorials she shot for the pattern are very helpfull. I'm planning to knit the Beatrix Cardigan by Gregoria Fibers this coming automn-winter, though the Haraboji Cardigan by Aegyoknit might be a close contender haha ! My most inspiring cardi for the season are : - Step by Step Cardigan by @handmadebyflorence - Beatrix Cardigan by Gregoria Fibers - Haraboji Cardigan by Aegyoknit - Ppoppo Jacket by Aegyoknit - Bella Cardigan by Iren Lin - Jintang Reversible Coat by Susan's family - Cherri Cardigan by Joanna Ang - Coco Jacket by Popknit Hope this list gives you more inspo 😜
A really great episode! I would kindly ask that you keep the pattern photo on screen longer as you discuss it.
Absolutely, I'll keep that in mind for future videos :) thank you!!
I love your pattern choice and your style of podcasting. I feel very inspired. It will be hard to just go back to knitting projects I need to finish😅
ah thank you! Haha, sometimes you just gotta follow the creative energy :)
Thank you for this review of beautiful cardigans. It is so refreshing to see garments by lesser known designers. 🙂
