The lead producer Cai Haoyu is the issue. While he used to work on HI3 the game gave you basically nothing. Right after he got replaced by David Jiang (also works on HSR) the game started giving out 5* just for loggin in. Cai Haoyu is your typical AAA CEO who wants to see "big number go up" and doesn't care about anything else. Until he is replaced "genshin will never".

The only way HSR's anniversary can get worse than the Genshin's first anniversary is when Hoyoverse decided to remove the free 10 pulls every patch on the anniversary patch itself and I know their devs aren't dumb enough to even consider that. But I feel like the Lowest they'll go is giving us a second "choose your 5 star" thing for the basic banner.

I've heard HSR was a possible test to see what they could fix for genshin. It's been almost 9 months and no improvements have been made, so I doubt that statement is true. At this point, the dev team of genshin does not care. We need dev teams who can take criticism and who care enough to make Genshin a better game. There's so much that could be improved, and they haven't budged.

They did improve the games they had and created the new ones with the insane amount of revenue they received from Genshin, Genshin not only allowed for sustenance, it also allowed growth, if all the money they got from genshin were to go to genshin we’d have a free 5* every damn patch
