      Try one of these or a combination:
      1. Settings>Cellular> Calls on other Devices>select/deselect only the ones you want.
      2.Settings>Messages>Send & Receive>Select the one that applies. NOTE: If your iPhone and iPad are connected to the same Apple ID or email address, messages will sync on both.
      3.Settings>Messages>Text Messages Forwarding>Here turn off the device where you don’t want texts to be forwarded to.

    Just posted a positive comment on here because it all worked. However, now I understand what others are saying because when I remove the toggle to stop syncing messages are still showing on iPad as well as iphone. Maybe because they are in the Cloud? However, if I slide to delete does this mean I will no longer have past messages available to view on my iPhone? I did try turning iPad off and back on again. Please advise.

      I think those are two different things: Messages backed up in iCloud vs Messages syncing to multiple devices. The option explained in this video is the first one.

    Thanks for the video, easy to understand and right to the point.
    My issue is that I already have messages on my iPad and I no longer want to receive any more. I followed the steps you provided and toggled off the switch and so now I want to re-open messages to delete all of them so I can free up storage. However I keep getting asked to sign into my account so I can receive messages. Any suggestions?

      Glad you figured it out! 👍 Disabling text message forwarding is definitely a key step in preventing messages from syncing across devices. If anyone else is having similar issues, make sure to check your text message forwarding settings in 'Settings' > 'Messages' > 'Text Message Forwarding.' Thanks for sharing your solution!

    Are the messages still in iCloud?

    • @TrevorNace
      @TrevorNace  16 дней назад

      Great question! Yes, even if you stop sharing messages between your iPhone and other devices like iPad or Mac, your messages will still be stored in iCloud. This means they won't be deleted; they'll just no longer sync to the devices you've turned off message sharing for. If you need more details or have other questions, feel free to ask!

  • @Nogreaterjoy1

    • @TrevorNace
      @TrevorNace  2 дня назад

      Hi Annemaria! If messages are still sharing despite turning off the settings, try signing out of iMessage on all devices, then sign back in, and ensure the settings are correctly adjusted on each device.
