Interesting video. You touched on probably the most important thing: Fit is King. If they don't fit comfortably, there are no sound profiles or features to fix it. I was curious to get the Liberty 2 Pro Upgraded but may not do so b/c they are getting old. But who am I right? I have a pair of Beats Solo 3 from 2017 that are kicking hard after ear cushions replacements in 2021. Great to share your experience as I agree the L3P are larger. Thx!!
Agreed, the Liberty 3 Pro's are fairly quieter that the l2ps, but that's quite fine with me as i usually listen to music at 40-50% volume at most (and the l3p are quite loud at that point). Less bassy?, yeah for sure, but still too bassy for my taste, but i can EQ them to my liking, easily. The only, real, problems with these buds are the mediocre battery life when using transparency mode + Ldac, the sensitivity of the touch controls and the (slightly common) connection issues when using Ldac.
Well I have both pair as well and the 3 Pros are actually as loud or even louder than the 2 Pros. The 3 Pros sound a little better to me. After going through the Hear ID test my personalized EQ was great. It's louder than any of the other presets. Well good luck. Reconsider. A lot to offer for only $149 right now.
Sound quality on the 3 is "marginally" better. But there no way they are louder that the 2s with the black ear tips.... Maybe mine were defective. I listened to many different genres and the only thing that the 3s gave me over the 2s when I listened at Max volume was harshness... But hey variety is the spice of life...
@@BigBrotherMotown i only use at max 60% and it is loud. have used and own some and now my daily driver is L3P for 5 months. For comfortability that is up to the individual. Had no issue with this too. For the touch control, had no issue with that too. very responsive. Love the noise cancelling of the background on call except wind noise which most earbuds can't do much too but the background noise was fantastic. Also, for the L3P ANC can really cancel the rain noise where majority can't. As for dis-connectivity, had no issue with it too. Only if used LDAC where you would need to change the bit rate on your phone to have better connectivity. So yours might be a faulty one.
Soundcore liberty 2 pros upgrade are exactly had the 3 pro never had a good fit like the 2 pro upgrade sent my 3 pros back to like the button better then the touch 💯
I’m done with my liberty air 2 pros. One side stopped working and the battery life is terrible in my opinion. I want new earbuds to replace them but I don’t know which ones to choose. I want much better sounding earbuds that will last longer and feel comfortable in my ears
Try the Soundcore aerofit pro's.... They are "open" design buds meaning they sit on your ears but don't go into the ear canal. I've been watching lots of videos on them and all the reviews are praising them as having GREAT sound and comfort.... I'm think those will be my next pair.... (Or maybe I can get my wife to buy them for me for Christmas 😆)
Good to know. I hope I don' think it's that bad. I am getting some today for the transparency and noise cancelling fts. I have the first liberty 2's and I know they have a second liberty 2 that includes the transparency feature. But when I go for a run I want to be able to hear the environment around me.
For me I thought they were really nice, the only thing that’s bugging me right now is the fit. I personally like it, but I understand how it does come to preference at the end of the day. Maybe you got a defective unit but at the end of the day everyone’s has different ears. The fit I can definitely understand, while its stays in my ear, it doesn’t feel as secure as my jabra elite 4 active. Even playing with all the included tips and wings for over an hour, still haven’t found the perfect fit but it’s good enough for now.
I'm glad I didn't go with the hype I jus ordered liberty pro 2 upgraded version...what do u think about those ??the regular 2s were 60 I got the upgraded version for 80..
I don't know about the upgraded version but the regular ones were GREAT. I just purchased the Soundpeats Free 2 classic.... They are 29 bucks! Almost as good as the liberty's at a FRACTION of the price!
I guess it just comes down to the fit. I'll just order mines today. I'll see for myself everyone's ear shape is different and I think that's what it comes down to.
I have a Love/Hate relationship with this L3P, everything is great about them, they have enough bass for me, but this random disconnects, even if I turn off LDAC, whatever I do I can't get rid of that.
Did you end up returning them? I've heard some early lp3s sent out were lemons and sounded horrible but that's been fixed. Was looking at upgrading the lp2s to the lp3s.
I did send them back but I don't think I had a bad pair. The sound quality was quite good. They were just not as loud as the liberty 2s and they had a drop out problem. Which probably would have been fixed in the next update. Had I not owned the liberty 2s I would have kept them but since I do I choose to send them back.
Totally think you should send them back if they dont fit you on that alone. If you eq them up nice I actually get more bass rumble than I do with my Sony XM4s. I feel like the Liberty Pro 3s are really quiet especially in LDAC.
Yeah brother......I could IMMEDIATELY tell the difference in the bass and loudness. If I never had the liberty 2 I would have been ok with the 3. I was surprised because a lot of RUclipsrs were saying that the 3s were louder. Plus the liberty 2 comes with 2 pairs of eartips that are DIFFERENT from the rest. They are the all black ones that are kinda pointed at the tip as opposed to the other ones that are flat at the tip and have orange on the inside. The BLACK ones give the sound a LOT MORE BASS while the others provide a cleaner mid range with LESS bass. I prefer the black tips myself but this is an option they don't provide with the liberty 3. You just get one kind of ear tip.
So strange that we can have different opinions.. because I have the 3 pros and think they are just as loud or louder than the 2.. and I love the fit . Obviously people's ears are different though...I just love them man.. so glad I bought these bad boys. Take care
@@montman1498 I was surprised that different ear tips could actually change the sound so much. Those BLACK ear tips on the liberty 2s totally changed the bass response. Maybe that's why I think they are louder...
@@BigBrotherMotown yeah it's insane how much the right fitting tips and different style tips could change the sound... you wouldn't think that would be the case lol
Personally I think 'saying' basically that touch controls from the 3 are annoying and you accidentally skip a track or stopping your audio, says to me that it's obviously clear you ain't got used to touch control where you've had physical button's on the 2's. Buddy just get used to the touch controls or don't use em. I'm personally like touch controls more instead of having physical buttons with that click when actually clicking them.
