Not enough DT when you have meter and you're fighting a chip war; should learn resets if you're not gonna kill with million dollars; need to pop XF3 sooner and get comfortable with XF3 confirms&combos -- you don't need to confirm first and then XF, you can XF for neutral pressure, land the confirm, land an incoming mixup on the next, and kill the 3rd without XF by burning the meter you built on DT and chip.
@@ProzacStylings can’t build meter when your in Devil Trigger but not a bad approach. To get chip on bolts while in xf would do great if the opponent burned they’re xf and is in chip range to be killed. You can get an easier hit when you xf just after a normal that you blocked, too.
@@bblue1555 I played Dante Anchor from about 2011-2017, and the recommendation when you're left with just XF3 Dante on deck is pretty simple IMO: pop XF3 early without DT, kill 1-2 characters meterless to build meter, then use the meter to lame out the third character if needed. Adjust as necessary if they have less than three characters or characters weak to chip laming etc. Anchor Dante with XF3 on deck SHOULD be very scary. Jam Session XFCs into death, fireworks combos into ground normals and jM Air to Air combos into jS while in XF3. Dying without popping XF is very, very, very bad, popping it early to keep up pressure etc always better.
@@bblue1555 Also - if you're playing Anchor Dante you should know grapple resets and acid rain resets, or at least something. That's what made me comment, seeing him Million Dollars a doom at 50%, lost opportunity.
@@ProzacStylings I think he knows more and could do more in those situations. Probably out of practice. He plays in a lot of the tournaments that you see posted on RUclips from different organizers but just because you play in tournaments doesn’t mean you’re well prepared. Theres things I haven’t worked on that I’m losing that I need to brush up on more.
@@ProzacStylings You save time though. I see why he wouldn’t. If someone would they have to engage. He’s not Vergil with the 50/50 mixup (harder to read rapid slash in xf speed), he has one teleport so that can be predictable depending if you know the player’s rhythm or you understand Dante.
