Hi Nada, love your videos, particularly the one on belts. For us non-American viewers can you explain what a chambray shirt is? Is it just a denim shirt, a lighter weight shirt???
Great question! Chambr ay is just a lighter denim and that word has also come to refer to that blue color. A chambray shirt is just a denim shirt usually medium to light blue but not always. Most of them button down the front and those are the most versatile. So it's essentially jeans as a top lol. They can come in a variety of weights from a really lightweight cotton to something that feels more like a stiff denim. I prefer the lightweight versions. They drape better and are more flattering.

So wanting to dress young, but don’t want to look like an old person trying to be young, I looked for how to wear a chambray shirt in your 40’s. Your video was at the top of the list. Thanks Denise! I like the classic medium blue, not too dark, and not too washed out. The J. Crew perfect chambray shirt is a great color! And works really well with your SOFT Coloring.
I have a chambray shirt, but have never worn it. Like my white white denim jeans and jacket, it just sits in my closet. I keep thinking I will wear it over my thinner white turtleneck in the winter, but never have. I’m just not a fan of denim or chambray, I suppose.
