If I may with some advice for the creator of this mod, think seriously about altering the face expressions of Mario to have it fit for some of the things he does. For instance, when he's holding a key he just got or a gemstone he just earned, have him be more smiling.
Fun fact, initial plans of luigi's mansion, before they added luigi as the main, they picked Mario, but they favored Luigi due to his fear Edit: Adittional Fact: Luigi's mansion was planned to be in N64 until they switched it to gamecube due to its higher capacity
Yeah your not wrong, at first Nintendo intended Mario to be the main character but they thought Mario was way to brave to be afraid of ghost after all it’s not his first time around ghosts smb3,smw and sm64 show Mario at least encountered enough of them for him not to be scared of them, so then there was Luigi… And the rest you probably already know…
it's very weird to see Mario who has been fighting a lot of ghosts (at least he has been to the Big Boo's Haunt in SM64) gets very scared of ghosts now.

Funny you say that. I checked out The Cutting Room Floor awhile back. Turns out that, during the game's development/beta stages, Mario's character model also had a Poultergust to go along with it. (That beta Poultergust is the same one Mario uses in this mod!) So chances are, Nintendo was probably going to add a multiplayer mode for when you complete the game at least once, where you and a friend can play as Luigi and Mario respectively! _But, somewhere during development, they thought otherwise..._ That does raise a question, though: If the multiplayer mode *were* to exist, then _(since Mario would be teaming up with Luigi) who do you think would be kidnapped by King Boo?_
The atmosphere with the dark lighting, weird creepy but interesting textures, sound effects. No music playing, just claps of thunder and Luigi whistling.. The other Luigi mansion games are good, but they will never beat the originals classic charm. LM1>LM3>LM2
This would be better if the story was that Luigi went in thinking Mario was in there and got the potoghost 3000(or 2000 idk) and then he got captured which lead to egad trying to save him but seeing Mario and giving him the e3 potoghost as it could be a older version since Luigi has the newer one.

As a kid, I always daydreamed of playing as Mario. Coincidentally I also imagined Toadette being in Toad's place and Daisy was the one rooting for Mario to save Luigi. Seriously this mod made me feel like I forshadowed myself a decade before this existed.
Imagine if after Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD comes out, Nintendo remasters the 3DS Version with tweaks to be more like the GameCube version and also add a Mario mode. That would be awesome. 😮
