Keep going. Sounds like you’re on your way to me. I could never get swivel down, it hurt my knees to twist my legs that much so I never got any good at it and felt more comfortable just bashing things out with straight single power strokes. It takes guts to learn new techniques and see them through, and so you’ve inspired me.

@@nevrsleep1 I'm so used to straight single power strokes, so I like to expand my knowledge and progress with all different varieties of foot work and keep improving my technique. 🤘🤘

@@lonnienorton. feeling old and out of practice now because of covid - the only practice i ever got anymore was during performances and we were playing gigs so often that I didn’t really need to keep up on my skills via practice - so after my favorite hobby disappeared I kinda decided to take a break from the constant grind of performing and then ended up in a position where I was without a place to keep up on practice. But I have that luxury again now, and yet I’ve wasted so much time in not getting back to where I was and improving what I can. You’ve inspired me to figure that shit out asap.

@@lonnienorton. maybe some day I’ll do more. I have another, much older channel where I uploaded a precious few things from side-projects of mine from years and years ago, but I’m not here to promote, I’m just paying respects to someone who helped me remember that nothing is ever easy, but mostly things are still at least possible. Mostly.

I would advise you to learn the ankle technique first. Swivel will then come naturally as that technique can’t be used properly at slow tempos like these.
