- This is a short video showing off the Mercedes interior and exterior lighting at night. I’ve also included the premium plus headlight dance for those that want to see it.

I'm saving up for this car the front panel screens and the ambient lights got me.
doesn't say what model it is but guessing its a CLA 200 1.3L i would save your money and buy something else. Fancy screen aside there isn't much car there under the hood for the price they retail at used - Even now a 20/21 plate will run £20-23,000 for that money you could buy a CLA 35 which is a lot more fun.

@@everythinginbetween4440 yes. I like CLA version because looks more sporty than C-class. Even sometimes the price (in Malaysia market) for used car or recon, C-class more cheaper and more powerful engine than CLA.
@@omarsyahrilnorazmi3302 I agree completely then I noticed the way Mercedes sells the cars. The C class is cheaper than the CLA Coupe but the C class coupe is more expensive than the CLA Coupe. It doesn't matter what model you get because if it has coupe at the end of its name it will be a lot more as people think they're more desirable even though its basically the same car inside its only a more swooping look for the vehicle that's different.
@@everythinginbetween4440 yes. But the coupe looks more sporty than sedan and i like coupe. But passenger seat at the back not suitable for tall person. Haha. Many reviews said, not enough head room for tall people.

Not sure if you know about this already, but you know how the ambient lighting in the newer Mercedes cars is reactive to certain functions like adjusting the temperature? It’s also reactive to the alarm going off - when it’s triggered, it will actually flash between red and blue…

Hello, this year I got a black CLA Coupe -with tinted windows- and I just love it. I bought it in Japan where I live and the Mercedes service is excellent in every way. The guarantee included a hand wash. Every thing was great except that the side ambient lights are not working. I know if I take it to the dealer they will fix the problem, but if you could give me any advice on how to to make them work, I would appreciate it. Thank you !!!

When you first got the car was there a strong new car scent in it?
Yes and No, the car doesn’t really have a new car scent but the seats are fake leather and do have an odd scent on them, maybe it’s because of how they’re made.

@@bZgtHeSTD Yeah I would definitely avoid them as I think the artificial smell of the fake leather is worse than real leather, guess this is the way of the world now. #Vegancars 😂
This car I really want but the back seats looks uncomfortable and not enough space my second car is Audi A7 2020 is perfect but the Mercedes interior and mostly the LED is the reason I want it
To be fair they are uncomfortable until you wear them in but I can't even get in the back anyways 😂
Whst is the light sight package on the CLA do?
I have a CLA 200 from 2021 with the same Seats I have the lights in the front and backseat but they don’t turn on. How is that possible? 😅

Yes it's the same interior, unfortunately cars made after 2020 were changed slightly due to chip shortages. So it no longer has ambient lights in the headrests and down the sides or the centre console. Everything else is still available I do believe they also had a shortage of the mbux screens but hopefully that's been sorted now. Many thanks for the comment.

Did you attach a spoiler and change the logo to black?
Yes I attached an official spoiler and had it sprayed black, I also had the vehicle chrome wrapped in black it makes the car look so much better to look at. 😊
Have all new models the ambiente light inside the headrests or not? I think it is very cool.
As far as I'm aware the led lights higher up were removed as thye were apparently a distraction to other drivers. Sadly law wins all the time and ruins the fun out everything.
@@everythinginbetween4440 Thank you for your response. Maybe it is a distraction but the new hyundai i30N has similar ambiente light in the backseats.
Hi , some help / advice - just picked up my cla200 ( prem plus ) , on my model there are no lights under the wing mirrors . Have the also removed this from the 2021 builds do u know ?
Hi yes unfortunately they removed a lot of stuff recently, you won’t have the lights in the headrests either or down the side of the middle console. Kind of annoying that they’ve done this to be fair as the cost is still more or less the same.

Hi if you search Google for official c118 spoiler that's the one I have. Please note it isn't cheap and will set you back around £250.

@@everythinginbetween4440 yes I’ve got the premium plus, I did a little research and found out that they stopped putting ambient lighting in the headrests and puddle lights on the side mirrors to cut costs 🤦♂️
@@abzrollin9800 Yes I knew the chip shortages with the interior lights but didn't think they'd cut the outside ones too that's disgusting.
In your opinion, is this better than the A-220? I love both but this one looks a little better, especially at night!
yes 100% better than the A class also they are literally the same price now

Thanks for the question yes they do, however you can turn all this off in the settings in the car and also how long they stay on for.

Did you screw the spoiler on or use adhesive stuff
It's a very strong adhesive glue that's already on the official spoiler when you get it.
What year cla250 is this ?
It's a 2021 but you'll not get a lot of the lights etc now as they removed it. This is a premium plus car, models of this year will be missing a few things sadly.
The lights down the sides of the centre console are also no longer available

is it possible to make the dome light to turn on white and then fade out after you unlock the car?
They're white but you can't have them fade or anything unfortunately. 🙂
@@everythinginbetween4440 watch Tyler Chamberlain's cla video and you'll see that when he first unlocks his car the interior dome light turns on white them fades away and that's when the ambient lighting turns on

Why would they get rid of the headrest lights?
Are there any ambient lights in the rear seating area apart from below the headrest?
Unfortunately not, it’s just the front of the car I was expecting some in the rear air vents at least but nope.
Yes, the door handles. At least on my car.
Kind of shocked to find out via fucking RUclips that they adjusted ambient lighting, right after I ordered the car. I contacted my dealer as I will not accept the car regardless of the contractual agreement if these lights aren't as they should. They should have said so or stated it on their fucking website but they didn't.
I completely understand, I'd be the exact same if this had happened to me.
Did I misunderstand. I contacted the dealer, he said no you get it except for the headrest and the touchpad. Can you confirm?
@@harlem6365 The headrest lights and the lights down the middle console have gone but the rest should be available.

Just received my premium plus CLA..Got the Panaromic Sunroof but they didn't add the electric memory seats like the test drive vehicle had..Blamed the chip shortage..Feel like I've been ripped off..Very misleading sales..at no point did they inform me they won't be putting it in or stopped doing it..found out on the day I went to collect..Not happy
You have every right to decline the vehicle or ask for some money back, as that's a feature that's included in the premium plus and the fact they're using the whole chip shortage as an excuse yet never even told you this would be missing is absolutely disgusting. You need to take this further unfortunately.
You have the right to file a civil lawsuit but you're a dumb customer for wanting electric seats tbh... Manual seat are easier and faster to operate but each to their own I guess
@@everythinginbetween4440 thank you. I made a complaint to the motor ombudsman and received a £1000 payment. They were found to be misleading like I said they were

Just received mine today, they have cancelled electric adj seats, so annoying! They are manual. Even though mine is a premium plus model

Unfortunately yeah the newer models had them removed I don't understand why they would do this as its important feature for a lot of people. It's highly likely due to chip shortages and trying to save as many as they can for other parts like the infotainment screen. It sucks.
