Was looking forward to understanding basics. However 2 min into the video he goes way technical and loses me. Would have liked a big picture working down to a small or technical approach.

Hi , which is the best DMM with TRMS, which should used for repairing and servicing AV Products
I usually use mine to measure voltage on my AA and AAA batteries and also my car battery to verify the system is working as it should.

What does the "body diode" in MOSFET used for? To do what
It's not "used" for anything. It's inherient to the layer stack-up of a diode.
For measuring high currents there are nothing better than clamp meters, I see your meter also supports clamp add-on (last position on rotary switch)
That Tenma DMM looks exactly the same as my UNI-t 139c. The only difference is the color of the boot.
An inexpensive, high quality DMM is the Greenlee DM200A.
