Monstera Peru propagation, Cutting and Care
Here are some tips for caring for Monstera Peru cuttings:
Light
Place the cutting in a warm location with medium to bright indirect light, between 65-80°F, and out of direct sunlight. Too much direct sunlight can damage the plant.
Water
Keep the potting medium moist for the first 1-2 weeks, then allow the top of the soil to dry out between waterings. Change the water once a week to prevent rotting. When watering, place the pot in a sink and allow excess water to drain.
Humidity
Monstera Peru plants love humidity, so use a humidifier or pebble tray to increase moisture levels. You can also put a stone with water under the pot to increase humidity.
Repotting
Monstera Peru plants don't like to be root bound, so you can repot them every 2-3 years. Signs that it needs repotting include roots poking out of the pot's drainage holes.
Cutting
Use a sharp, sterilized knife or shears to make the cut. Wait 2-3 hours after cutting for the liquid on the cut area to dry before placing it in shade.
