this is based on a encrypted NAND dump, it was not fully dumped (only about 95%) but with the help of the existing US version I was able to bring in 4% more, only 1% (not even used in nintendont) are still missing.
Recorded from a wii using nintendont v4.447.
実況音声が山寺宏一なのが最高。
日本版のソフトがgp版であるのは珍しい...
Commentators for the second and third games are as follows:
Mario Kart Arcade GP 2:
Japanese: Kouichi Yamadera (Beerus from Dragon Ball and Spike Spiegel from Cowboy Bebop)
English: Justin Berti
Mario Kart Arcade GP DX:
Japanese: Rika Matsumoto (Satoshi/Ash from Pokémon, Haro from Victory Gundam, Megara/Meg from Kingdom Hearts II and III)
English: Jack Merluzzi (Zero from Mega Man X7, Raven from Tekken 5, Iori Yagami in KOF XII)
Got it to work on my Wii, thanks a bunch! Really nostalgic for the Japanese version of this game.
The announcer for the Japanese version of the 3rd game is the voice of Satoshi (Ash) in the Pokémon anime
I’ve never seen the Japanese version before! Tbh, the announcer is way less annoying in the Japanese Ver.
Ik! The narrator in the US version would not just shut the f*ck up! And his was so annoying. I love how the announcer here sounds like a good narrator and his voice isn't annoying.
This is in spanish (sorry)
Sabes como puedo entrar al menu de configuracion del mario kart arcade gp, como desactivar el sistema de mario card, o desactivar los creditos?
The narrator is so much less annoying in the Japanese version.
hello, i successfully managed to create the japan iso, and it is booting well under dolphin 4.0-315, but the mandatory init code provided on the wiki make the game black screen on start... could you provide your init code and dolphin version you are using? thanks a lot
@Sonako KBS
How did you do it?
Nice! Will you be working on a DS save tool for Wii?
Followed instructions on the github, nothing happens though...would love to get this version up and running. The announcer for the US version is just awful.
you should call it from command line maybe to see which files you got wrong, they all have to be exactly the right name and size for it to work.
I was trying to use an ISO that for one reason or another wouldn't convert to bin and simply changing the file extension was fruitless. Alas I found a gcm of it, changed the extension and viola! Thanks for the reverse engineering! Quick question: What was so different about the encryption for GP 2 versus GP?
@@poyo2048I know this comment is ancient, but do you happen to remember where you found the GCM of the game?

When I started it with dolphin, it stopped at a black screen. Can't you solve it?
This is only for wii or it works on emulator (dolphin) too? Because i followed the steps and didn't work for dolphin 😕
Does anyone have the dolphin codes to run this version of the game?
Is that Donald duck?
How did you get the rom?
So, what wouldn't work with an incomplete dump?
the missing 1% is the announcer explaining how the camera works that normally takes a picture of you as a racer, since there obviously is no camera attached to a wii though you would never heard it anyways.
+FIX94 Okay, that's not that bad...
FIX94 I actually dumped the files from the Nintendont patched ISO and it seems that all the announcements from the main menu do not work (the "Waiting for entries," "Competition entry received" and so on).
