  • Montana is no stranger to the Aurora Borealis, but the “last best place” may have been the best place to view the recent historic show.

I’m so upset I wasn’t able to witness this beautiful display! I want to thank everyone who sent in pictures to the media and especially the ones who uploaded on social media! Such a gorgeous & awesome event!😍

Friday night's display was exceptional; finest I've seen in my sixty-five years. Highly dynamic with flickering, flashing, twisting curtains of pink, fuchsia, purple and brilliant white.

That’s so wonderful you were able to experience it! I’ve been wanting to since I was in school learning about them in Science class! I’m 51 and still haven’t been able to see them. I’m in an area that had too much light pollution to see them. I’m also not able to get out to travel to an area that I would have been able to witness their awesomeness. 😢 But seeing the pictures makes me smile and I’m happy for all who were able to see them. 😊

Any radiation from solar flares affect the ground soils?

I saw it in the panhandle of Texas. It wasn't as intense as it was there but i saw it. Why is it showing up in the Teas skies?
