Funny seeing Angel Olsen chatting about the visceral feeling she gets when she plays to a crowd. I saw her in a small venue in Belfast years ago and she asked a guy to stop singing along. A guy who obviously was a massive fan. I get it may have been distracting but the way she handled it was uncomfortable enough for me to leave the gig.
@@indigovinyl2445 eye rolling first, then got tripped up in the lyrics. He was close and the stage is set out into the audience I could see how it could be distracting but she behaved kinda like a petulant child, the band looked pretty uncomfortable about it too, heck she could've had a bad day, been tired whatever but she was so disrespectful and childish I found it really offputting. Realistically she was at work, ya know.
@@wowsers9923 That’s awesome!!! I’m glad you enjoyed what you did. She’s immensely talented and all I can hope is she learned from that night, ‘cause her fans are her supporters and she should be a little more patient with them. Of course it’s hard and we have no idea what she goes through on a day to day basis. But yea, like I said, hope she learned from it. I saw her back in July and she was quite happy and talkative with the crowd. Mayhaps just a bad day. We all have them.
Wow, the amount of musical history and artistic talent that place has seen over the decades boggles the mind.

Did she just stop singing and tell him to stop?
I hope she’s changed quite significantly since those days.
