I misspoke a few times when recording this, and I almost went back to rerecord those parts, but I ran out of time this week. At 0:46 seconds into the video, I meant to say you need to be around lvl 12 to clear silver wonders without any other units. 4:40 I meant to say you get the ability to spawn in free zombies at lvl 8. We also saw the freezing breath at the beginning of the fight. 41:05 Large target only makes the dragon 20% easier to hit, but I said it was 40%, which would be a lot worse than it is.
It’s worth noting that not much of these autobattle results are reliant on being a dragon, but rather on the two tier 3 summons you get from ritualist + master shadow. You can get similar results with champion or wizard king.
Yeah, I have hear other people saying that to, and while fair, I do think the dragons are slightly better auto clearing due to what they get on their signature skills (i.e. natural regeneration and/or spawns zombies when slaying enemies)
I had bug where taking the Naga transformation halved the damage of my teir3 Peacebringer archer and glitched the portrait, I'm only posting this because I couldn't figure out how to make a bug report and this community is pretty small, hopefully someone can bring some attention to this.
You should try chaos/shadow dragon. As a warrior you go to the charge path and take these perks: Guarded charge, committed charge, graceful charge, dragon aspect materium. Now you have a dragon that will hit like a truck with shock claw, has 2 stacks of grace every charge, two retaliation attacks that will also grant grace, charge resistance and 50% retaliation damage. The dragon will hit for about massive 50 damage, if you have bulwark as a racial trait will have over 10 def and res and be almost unkillable with all those stacks of grace. I saw my dragon ruler soloing insane amount of contents... CC is the biggest bane, but usually I take celestial transformation.
@WinSlayaGaming Nice! Btw, I didn't knew the ritualist dragon could put so many bodies on the battlefield, I have to try that with a Necro build seems a lot of fun. Thanks winslaya ✨
If you don't want to get CC'ed when it comes to your ruler or heroes you can try to forge a ring of immunity Also what effects do you like to put on your claws?
last week i made an faction with an undead dragon worshipping umbra as an roleplay thing. I was honestly suprised how well that dragon was doing in auto resolve. Mine got lifesteal on every attack with the class warrior. 1 tapping most enemies which in turn summons zombies. Was hoenstly good fun.
Frost dragon is just super good. It just stuns and freezes the map. Then your kills make zombies. That's all without your own summons such as tenticles or whatever else you got.
Yeah, it my favorite for farming the map. Probably doesn't work as well against players, but still it should be relatively strong unless you get hard countered
What do you think of Devour? It looks amazing on paper, but I keep seeing the AI fumble it because it takes 3 action points and they can't resist sprinting around randomly instead
A few questions: A: What about warrior dragons? B: You have shown ritualist and defender. Which one would you say is better? C: How viable are those builds without spellcasting? D: Which traits (society and form) are you using? I guess cult of personality with the up to +4 skill points could be very strong.
A) I know it is good, but Warrior is one of the classes I have a lot less experience with, and I had a feeling that it would be generally easier to get a ritualist to bring in enough other units to clear most AW than it would be to make a dragon warrior strong enough to tank and kill off all the other units. I didn't test it, but I think the goal of having killing momentum is generally good for that class. B) I think Ritualist is better, but I have a lot less experience with the defender class. I think with enough regeneration + defensive masters, then it becomes pretty almost invincible. C) I didn't really test, but it have a feeling that it would be wonder dependent. some wonders maybe easier for your dragon then others could be D) I didn't take any traits to help with clearing, but I think I had new grace mounts and extra armor + righteousness + devotees of good and keepers of knowledge in my ritualist playthrough where I cleared a gold wonder on turn 19
Warrior can have excellent crit damage and sustain for a full stack battle, but it isn’t going to have the raw solo potential of a summoner. Action economy is just too important.
@@jmrwacko Well, if you never lose hit points action economy doesn't matter; guarded charge/committed charge/materium aspect and you're likely gaining 6 stacks of grace per round. Main risk is enemies with decaying.
Hey what would you say is the best possible ritualist for solo taking into account Patheon fully ? I have had a hard time between the ruler types considering Mortal champions can have 20 miner transforms plus 1 major and so can wizard king can that compete with dragonlords ? then there is eldritch sovereigns which I don't think can compete personally but I would be interested to know what you think
Cool, Dragons should be that way - be powerful. On the other hand - firstly getting to level 12 is not something you do fast, I believe on a medium sized map this happens in late mid-game. Maybe there are ways to do it faster (i'm not a min-max type of guy, I play the game chill) but my point is that at this time in the game on Normal difficulty you should already be able to clear Golden Wonders easily. Second thing is why would you need it at this point as you probably already have a lot of resources. While I see benefits of that (you just fly around the map with your ruler clearing stuff ez), I actually never need to at this point in game. We are talking about SP game ofc. I've played with a Dragon Ruler just once post WoW, but it was the most fun I had with a DR in a while. I feel like they finally are the powerhouses that were promised.
I think Warrior has the tools to keep itself alive fairly well (grace, sprint, and extra retaliations), but ranger wont be good at soloing wonders (at there is no dragon ranger.. at least not yet). Mages will struggle, but less than rangers
Did anyone see whether he mentioned how you get ghost fire breath because I’m pretty sure it changes depending on whether or not you start with fire wrath or Frost breath but I’d like someone to clarify

Yesssss, yesssss, spread horrifying auto knowledge until the entire world knows how to autobattle. Delicious brain cells.❤
Lol one of these days we should do an mp with only auto combats
Turn the game into an autobattler haha
Wait that actually sounds really cool.
Roguelike autobattler mode for AoW4
@luka188 That is basically MP in a nutshell tbh.
These info-graphics are excellent, thanks for this!
Happy to hear it :) They take a bit of time to make, but I enjoyed it, and I will likely reference them in the future lol

There is a place for that on the official aow4 forums that are run by paradox interactive :)

Awesome video. I like going giga crit Dragon.
Yeah, crit dragons are super fun!

Yeah, spawning in zombies is both fun and really good in combat

Where is the Golem Assistant now? I see it's still in the encyclopedia, but can't find it anywhere.
It's gone, reduced to atoms
What do you think of Devour? It looks amazing on paper, but I keep seeing the AI fumble it because it takes 3 action points and they can't resist sprinting around randomly instead
Yeah, I am not a big fan of it, mostly because of Ai shenanigans, but even in manual combats, it is not my favorite

I don't like the ascended rulers, but you are right about champions and wizard kings being better for it. Generally I like the dragon better tho

Very true, I like dragons feeling powerful too! The old version felt relatively bad when compared against a wizard king
I've played 5 games since WW and the only one that has won so far was my dragon ruler build.
Nice, sounds like you have some tougher realms. What settings have you been playing on?
W video
Feels like the AI in general is just better at fighting, which is a great time saver since I dont have to take control of combats half as much
Are the ritualist and the defender the only options for solo clear? What about the mage?
I think Warrior has the tools to keep itself alive fairly well (grace, sprint, and extra retaliations), but ranger wont be good at soloing wonders (at there is no dragon ranger.. at least not yet). Mages will struggle, but less than rangers
wow that is insane
Yeah, it really is XD
