Very interesting! We Pennsylvania German speakers are losing more German words with every generation. Even the moderator said words like, “noticed” and “differences” in English instead of using the German word. Sometimes using the English word is quicker and easier and also sometimes the German word means something weird in English. The people in Germany are also losing their original German words. There was a family that moved from Germany to America and after 20 years moved back to Germany again. Their children were laughed at because of how they talked like their parents!
We love John...he's an asset to our community!
Met him when we were both about 15 yrs old. Was easy to like, approachable..a friend ever since..

I'm from Germany. I grew up in the neighboring community of Königsbach which is called Kämpfelbach and went to school in Königsbach for 9 years.
