The old part is so good, pretty sure the excitement will be from tyres popping here though, and maybe the odd surprise line overtake. It’s great to have a track that looks like the whole area wasn’t flattened for it though. A seaside miracle to have a GP here, thanks to Max. Hope Herman has a blast, he’s waited long enough 🙂
I drove two or three times here in the late 90’s in my Fiat barchetta along with other barchetta's and Fiat Coupé's - the newest Fiat models at that time. We had to take the short route, little did I know that the Scheivlak was in shambles at that time. It was supposed to be a "demonstration run" but we drove as fast as we could (= dared, with our still very new cars!). I still have that barchetta to this day - it's my daily driver (besides my bicycle which I use one week a year when my car is due for it's MOT)
Sky TV in the UK mentioned today that Tarzanbocht takes its name from a man called Tarzan who lived in a house on the outside of the corner but didn’t want to move when the circuit required more space for runoff. In the end, when he did move, they named the corner after him. Is this true or is it just a myth?
it's a really beautiful track, long live in Zandvoort! Ciao Herman, ciao Simon!
Ciao Yuri!

Goed gedaan. Keep up the great work. Volgens mij heeft de Bocht voor Arie ook een naam

Was so excited to see this race. Unfortunately the hurricane came through here and killed our power.
Bad hurricane. Hopefully you can watch qualifying and race without problems.

It's an urban myth.

The answer is given in this video: ruclips.net/video/BZEjuAXLHxc/видео.html
It's almost like a track walk but you don't have to actually walk it!
So a track ride at medium speed ;)
First!
Congratulations. Next time you're first please a little more contents ;)
@@Circuitsofthepast Ok!
too much past tragedy associated with this track...
You can say that from many classic circuits. It's a brutal reality of the sport. Fortunately it's now much safer.
Look at Radillion alone for tragedy and it’s barely mentioned on a race weekend because we love it so much it would be a downer
