I've always loved this band but these last few months Christopher Owens has risen up to the likes of Billie Holiday, Marvin Gaye and other artists I love as being seemingly genuine, sincere people that I would love to know.
I was clinically depressed the last 3 weeks and just in the very worst frame of mind, I put on this record because it starts out so bouncy and forgot this song entirely, and right as I was walking over the bridge this song came on and every word sung directly related to and when it ended, I wasn't depressed anymore. Thanks for writing this song Chris.
I think the first set of lyrics could sum up my life in this 1st quarter of 2016. Hardly any cash, dreams dashed, heroes dying left and right... Still, can't give up.
