I have only recently discovered Commedia dell'Arte (I'm sure if I had studied drama I would have learnt about it much earlier) and absolutely love it. I enjoyed being Zanni tonight and enthusiastically exploring my hotel room! I look forward to exploring the other characters.
Hello! Yes. It's the plan. I'll try to get Brighella, Pulcinella, Il Magnifico, the Captain and the Lovers (gli Innamorati) included in this first series. It's all bit slow because the Autumn Term is quite intense this year. I look forward to adding more content...
Pulcinella is a zanni - it belong to the big family of servants. But like Arlecchino or Brighella and many other Servants of commedia, has his own specific physicality. He usually has a big belly and a hump. He's lazy and his walks shows that! I hope I'll expand the 'catalogue' of masks and add him to the playlist!
Sure - we're all here for our assignments but ca we please take a second to appreciate her crazy body control? She's goals :D

Is this how pulcinella moves?
