There’s so many “teachers “ on RUclips who have good and bad advice. I want to thank you for always understanding what we need!! Keep up the good work 👍
Kevin, this is a song I've been wishing to play since I got back to playing about 4 years ago. I put it the guitar down some 40 years ago. I'm 69 now, so it is not as easy. I can't play like I use to due to my fingers to brain, but I can play a bunch of songs, barr chords not so good. Strumming is also a struggle but I can fake pretty good. Thank you, this is your best 👌
Great lesson Kevin - some of these chords are so beautiful on an acoustic. Been strugglin' with this one but you make it look easy. Thanks again for all your lessons
hi Kevin , confused 62 yr old beginner here. at 10 minutes you show the 1/16 note strumming pattern of the intro. should the last down stroke on beat 4 line up with the 4, not the a? and should the D and U strokes at the end be swiched so the D lines up with the + and U lines up with the a? i hope my question is clear to you. thanks ,paul love your videos and this is a great lesson of a great song
Great question and observation. Typically D strum is on whole beat and U strum is on And. But when we add the 16th notes we start adding in up strums on the and and down strums on the a. It’s a little more syncopated. Stick with it and try and get the feel of how it sounds.
Maggie is right. You keep interrupting The Treat Show with these guitar lessons. I love this song or I'd be on her side. I'm just a silly human in the end :)
Not to be a jerk, but you should play the bar chord version. I learned this song without the bar chords at first, too. It made it double hard to learn how to do it right. People need to stop being afraid of bar chords.
@@Relaxandlearnguitar it probably has a lot to do with the way I learned. I didn't learn all the open chords first. My playing is a mix of things people have shown me, some lessons, and some things I just kind of do my own way. It's weird, but I am not really a guitar player. I am primarily a singer, who plays a little guitar if I need to. But usually, when I get out to play, and I meet some really awesome guitarist, and end up going back to lead vocal mode. I do want to be a better player and be the best musician I can be,so I had better get back to serious practicing,so I can get out and do solo stuff and keep on rocking. Absolutely no offense to you, I have learned some really useful things from your videos 😁😎

I named my daughter Melissa because of this song❤
Awesome
Great job Kevin. Please keep them coming.🎉
Thanks! Will do
Thanks so much for this lesson. A little over three years into my journey and have really struggled with this one.
Glad it helped!

My favorite jam band. This is indeed one of my campfire/request songs! Well done 👍🏻
One of my favorites. An amazing band and amazing brothers. Gone too soon. Thanks for watching!
Love me some Allman Brothers. Great lesson Kevin!
You are most welcome
Thanks for another great lesson. I’ve been sharing them with my 81 yo mom who is learning to play😊
Wonderful! I thought my mom guitar when she was 70. She plays everyday and is 85 :). You are most welcome.

You can do it! I love the chords in this one.
That's a good one! Lots of different chords, but they aren't too hard.
Yep Stick with it. Worth the effort

For folks who can’t play barre chords yet/any more. Did you have trouble playing barre chords after learning all open chords?
