    Is it just me or is this pitch basically a lob at 52 MPH?! At 4:15 it seems like the pitcher isn't making much effort and basically gave that grand slam away like it's his last day working at Denny's.

    • @smitmastaflex
      @smitmastaflex Год назад +5

      The idea is the game is already out of hand so you save your actual pitchers and have a guy go throw basic ball’s across the plate until it’s over… an L is an L. Today the Rays may have better luck, or it could be the start of a skid… the odds say they have two great starters lined up and now a bullpen that didn’t go forever in the later half of that game. A win cancels this game completely.

    • @YSFmemories
      @YSFmemories Год назад +2

      they gave up on the game already and wanted to save their real pitchers. The guy could probably pitch faster if he wanted to, but he's not a real pitcher so even if he tried hard, it would actually just be easier for these pro hitters to hit because they're used to hitting fast pitches. Might as well save his energy instead of getting tired here and affecting his play tomorrow
