Now I will be a killjoy, but I don't like how far this fake music combination thing went, because it is definately not true. The music you call "A Song of Ice and Fire" , or "Jon Snow" theme is just your imagination, the theory that the Targaryen and Stark musics are intended to be listened together is false. 1.,The only thing that is common between them is the tonality, it is g minor. They are rithmically, motivically too different, the tempos are different also. 2., Let's take for example the House Stark song. The problem is that the video on youtube (about 9:30 long) is not one soundtrack, however 4 individual soundtracks put into one video by the uploader (the titles are in the description). You can also hear a click or rest at 2:41 in the Stark video, that is the point, where the next track starts. The same problem with the Tararyen video too. So what you are listening to is not the geniality of the composer, but rather some maybe-mistake from the uploader. Don't judge too early next time, because what shines is not always gold.
I do agree with you. The theme becomes messy after a while. The beginnings of both themes blended together is what makes it awesome really. I listened till the end and it would be best to include the start till 1:54 where the music gradually comes to a silent tone and have it fade away from there. That first minute plus 54 seconds are enough to be Jon's theme :)
