I have been struggling with similar errors all day running other sample codes. I pasted your code into an existing apps script that I had started from scratch, without going through google sheets extensions menu, and the code did not work in that apps script. I made a new apps script by going through google sheets extensions menu like you did and that worked. I wish I knew what the difference was
@@theREAL9er There is a difference between a stand-alone script (the first scenario you described) and a container-bound script (the second scenario where you create the script file from within a doc/sheet/slide etc).
