    Hey! I'm currently using Vegas Pro 21 and I have not been able to find any video like this but for this new version. I don't know if you plan to update this video for that version. But I have a question, is it still necessary to activate the Multi-Stream Render? And if so... what is it for? Thanks in advance!!

    One problem I'm having is when i trim my footage down, the drag/ select feature becomes increasingly laggy over time. Is there any way to reduce this lag? Because I keep having to render every so often just to be able to edit my video.

    Any of these changes cause stability issues? I use V17 but have V19... I'm using V17 because I got it running very smoothly without crashes and it does everything I need.
    I'll move over to V19 once I got through my current workload (over 60 boxing fights 😱) but I can't be doing with importing all my footage, working on edits and then having to deal with crashes.

    • @VerticDesigns
      @VerticDesigns 2 года назад

      Yes I totally get you and agree! Stability is a huge part of editing and it's so important this is why it would be really nice if they focused on making it more stable and improving the performance because even today with a beast of a PC that I have it still crashes for me too. So it doesn't fully tap into the performance of your system

  • @relevantinformation6655

    The ram allocated to Dynamic ram preview - is only for rendering “a dynamic ram preview.’ If you aren’t going to render dynamic ram previews, it just eats up system ram. It will not impact or speed up the program (Vegas 20) in any other way.

    Awesome video keep it up! I've got a question: if I record a gameplay with 100 000 bps should I render it with the same bps or can I go higher? I'm asking Because I feel like my gameplay is getting more blurry when I render it at a higher bps, or am I using to much bps while I'm recording? I have no idea, please help me man

    • @VerticDesigns
      @VerticDesigns 2 года назад

      Thanks and the best thing to do is to record at the highest quality possible and render your videos at a sensible bitrate. Higher bitrate = better quality however RUclips will still compress your video down so it's viewable because imagine trying to load a big 4k video file it would take ages to load haha so personally I've tried it before with high bitrate videos and it looked pixelated it was like they went under heavy compression lol so I just always follow RUclipss recommended encoding settings so for example 2k videos use around 20 - 30 mbps and 4k is around 50 - 80mbps. I've got videos on my channel with the settings i use if you want the best render settings but yeh just stay under 100mbs because 100mbps is more for like 8K videos haha so only way to benefit from that bitrate is to record your videos in 8k otherwise it won't benefit you and will just weigh your videos down

      @@VerticDesigns I've got another question: can I record daily videos using 80bps and render them in 4k? Or is that bad for my pc? I'm gonna get a high end pc soon, and I don't wanna do damage to the processor nor the graphics card, so that's why I'm wondering

    • @VerticDesigns
      @VerticDesigns 2 года назад

      @@xjerri yeh I get you and 80mbps is decent to say that RUclips recommends 66mbps average and 85mbps max bitrate for 4K 60FPS that's for HDR highest video quality for 4K videos. Also I don't think you'll damage your system because your components are designed to shut down or crash if they get too hot to protect the system. If your system cooling is good then you'll be fine it just means it will take a while to render depending on your pc specs

  • @andysmith7903
    @andysmith7903 Год назад

    How Vegas handles Dynamic RAM preview was changed in V19 onwards and the default setting of 5% is what you should set it to unless you have a good reason to preview large chunks of video via the selection tool - many, many people do not understand this function and think making this larger is giving more RAM to Vegas to make it faster overall but it does not. If you go under 5% it will slow down your preview.

    • @gmzogga
      @gmzogga Год назад

      even for a 20 second edit with a bunch of fx and stuff it is IMPOSSIBLE to not scream at your pc because it is so laggy. if you set it to 50% it is so much better.

    I have a problem
    ... Sony Vegas renders my videos using about 85% of my CPU and only about 25% of my GPU, which makes my videos render very slowly. I've tried everything but I don't know how to make it work more with my GPU instead of using so much CPU. If you know how to fix this I would really appreciate it.

    • @VerticDesigns

      if you've got an NVIDIA card and you're not using NVENC you sorta should, atleast to get the most benefits of the card
      note: if you've got a newer higher end gpu (3080 for example) but still have an older and/or lower core count CPU you'll most likely simply have reached the limit of what your cpu can do if you're already using NVENC

    I want to build a new system with a RYZEN 7 5700g and 32gb of 3200mhz RAM and NVME drive for OS with SSD Drive for media. HDDs for the rest such as backup imaging. This system will be exclusively only for Video Editing and will have only the OS and the NLE program installed with maybe... photoshop + 3ds max/blender to do some simple 3d titles. It wont be used for internet and other general tasks etc. OS will be Win 10 64bit.
    I intend to work with the inbuilt graphics for a few months till Graphics cards get down to realistic prices.
    My projects are all 15 mins max on the timeline. Maybe 1 to 2 tracks of video files and another 5-7 tracks of color solids or text overlays. My videos will be 400mbps Panasonic GH5 type of mp4 clips.
    Your opinions and suggestions will help. Thanks.
