    I enjoy your videos, taking my new 2023 Entegra Ethos to Alaska from Florida this May 2023. I guess this video is a few years old. They do allow e-bikes in the parks now

      That's excellent news. I wonder if they allow them past the place where they stop cars. It's a steep road.

    Thank you so much for all of your videos but especially this one. We are leaving for Alaska in 2 days from Virginia. We wanted the freedom of no reservations but after watching this video we decided we needed Denali reservations. We are thrilled we were successful. Thanks again.

    We were in Alaska a year ago in May. It was the first day Denali was open for bus tours when we visited. It was such a life experience for us. Our guide was incredible! We saw every animal except, like you, wolves. When I watched your video just now, I felt moments of the same excitement again. We will be back someday, and camp in Denali! Thank you for this video!!

    Nice video and song choices:) So glad you were able to see Denali! If you stay at Teklanika River Campground, you can/should buy the Tek Pass which is a bus ticket that lets you use transit buses throughout your stay at Tek. There was a 3 night minimum stay at Tek when we were there. Safe travels! look forward to the next video.

    Nice video, very informative. We were just up to Denali on Princess Cruises. They had us booked for a Nature tour which would not have gone very far into the park. So we upgraded to the Tundra Tour. That did not go the whole length of the road, I think we went about 60 miles into the park. It was scheduled to be about a 9 hour trip but I think it only lasted about 8 Hours. The cruise line told us to reserve our food at the local resort that we were staying at. Had I known better I would have gone across the street and gotten a Subway sandwich and a drink to take. Our bus had a special camera on it where the driver could zoom in on the animals and show them on TV's located on the bus. Our driver called bicyclists bear food. LOL! So much to do, we will definitely go back sometime.

    We reserved our site at Riley Creek as soon as the booking window opened some months ago and will spend 4 nights there over the July 4 Holiday. We have been planning this trip for five years and have had to postpone it for a variety of reasons. Unfortunately, the buses do not run all the way to Eielson VC this year due to road damage from a rock fall. I think it goes only about 45 miles into the park. Thank you for the information in your videos.

    • @FromShetoMe
      @FromShetoMe  5 лет назад

      I worry more about it in California because the critters have so little space and are used to humans. Up here we carry bear spray and stay alert. Most of our hikes have been above timberline where we all have a better chance of seeing each other. After last week’s murder of the couple on the Alaska Highway I realize humans are much more frightening.

    • @daisysmum7336
      @daisysmum7336 5 лет назад

      From She to Me Yes, I read about the murders. Very unusual for Canada. I live in an area full of bears and cougars and limit my hiking because of that ☹️.

    It is an amazing place and can't wait until I get back next summer. Great pictures and how did you like the bus ride? I have Denali Riley Reservation Opening date on my calendar and that is where we are hoping to get this time. Half of my have to have campgrounds are booked, two re confirmed, but have to go online to finish the reservation, 5 to book on Jan 1 when they start taking reservations for 2020. Finally, I love watching the Fire Weed as the season moves forward to fall and the pedals move and indicates the season changing.

    • @FromShetoMe
      @FromShetoMe  5 лет назад

      We enjoyed the bus ride. Went by pretty fast. The fireweed is lovely. Saw some yellow leaves on the ground a few days ago and wondered if they were already signaling the end of summer. Hopefully you’ll have clearer sky’s next year.

    • @timsmith7625
      @timsmith7625 5 лет назад

      @@FromShetoMeYes, the ride is long, but worth it. Have taken the bus to wonder lake and while we saw Denali most of the way, once we got to the lake it was lost in the clouds. Have also hiked the Savage River area, the Toklat River bed, hiked the road in PolyChrome and the last 5-6 miles to the Savage River crossing. Summer end quickly for sure.

    • @timsmith7625
      @timsmith7625 5 лет назад

      Yes, the time goes too quickly and since next years trip maybe my last to Alaska, I have planned a very slow roll through western Canada and Alaska. Some days are only 40 miles. Only pressure is when Brandi flys to Anchorage and getting as much as we can in 21 days there for her. Seward, Homer, Kenia, Portage Glacier, Aleseka, Anchorage, Talkeetna (Denali Flight), Denali, Fairbanks, Pipeline, Arctic Circle, Denali. She will fly out of Fairbanks. Then it’s a slow ride to Wrangell/Kulane, Haines, Skagway, Valdez, then to down to Hyder and back across Canada to Banff/Jasper. Enjoy the time you have left. I depart MD Aug 20 evening and Brandi flies into Kalispell and off to OR/CA in late Sep/early Oct. will be coming down 395 eastern side of Sierra where you all were on your way north. Mono Lake, Yosemite east side, June Lake, Mammoth Lakes, Lone Pine, Sequoia ??, Death Valley - Furnace, the Vegas where Brandi will fly out Oct 12.

      Those who don’t get a spot usually just park on the street just outside the park. Some of the businesses sell overnight parking and there are private rv parks in the area as well.
