Mines are being filled in, demolished, and/or collapsing at an alarming rate, so it is crucial to document them and save these artifacts while it is still possible.

We call the curved rod hanging from the roof "J Hooks, used for hanging pipelines or electrical cables.. I am a retired underground coal miner. Miners have many special words in underground mining lingo for coordinated communications.

Question. How do you find all these old mines? Where do you get your information other than BC government because none of their websites work on mobile phones. And I don’t have a computer.
