Game 1 of TL vs PNG really felt like Yeon going "Fine, I'll do it myself!" after the rest of his team just can't find the way to win. From Impact once again showing lack of proficiency on Jax, to the team as a whole clearly not being very comfortable with the Vi + Ahri combo, plus all of the questionable macro choices, Yeon was the only thing keeping them in that game. I mean I guess you could argue Core was helping as well, but he didn't really have any moments that stood out he was just kind of there. This kid has a bright future as a LEC Import soon.

Now assuming TL BLG and WBG all win their games.. thats 3 LPL teams playing for the remaining spots.. The best draw for LPL would be if TES BLG and WBG play G2 FLY TL.. that would mean quarters would be 4 LPL vs 4 LCK.. but that would be way too perfect for LPL fans.. so unlikely.. basically in the 2-2 matchup.. at least 1 LPL team will get knocked out because lets say BLG vs WBG... The worst matchup would be TES vs BLG as thats their #1 & #2 seeds killing each other.. then at that point no need to watch the rest as we know there is no chance for LPL to win and beat LCK this year.. The best scenario would be for TES to beat DK, knocking DK into the 2-2 matchup so that will lower the chances of LPL clashing. Since WBG has already played TL & G2, their only options left would be BLG DK FLY I have a feeling the LPL gods are not with them this year and it might be TL vs G2 since the casters wanted some NA EU Action, but who knows.. so therefore TL vs G2, WBG vs BLG, DK vs FLY. this would be the only way for At least 1 NA or EU team to make it into quarters if youre a western fan. I feel that Damwon losing Canyon was bad and that Showmaker isn’t playing how he did back when he won worlds with Beryl, Ghost, and Nuguri. TES though are looking strong, so they could be the ones to win the match up.
The error that Riot Games has made is that there are too many champions that do TOO much. And because of that you will never see a majority of the existing champions, which makes things boring sometimes. The fix, and OPEN YOUR EARS Riot: 1. Every team, in every game, has to choose 1 champion that is among the 30 least picked champions in the high tier and division solo queues, 2. AND they have to pick another champion that comes from the half of the champion pool that is played the least often (168 champions / 2 and choose a champ from the least popular 84. ) You know what you'd get? Some spicy interesting games where we might return to one-on-one outplays instead of the inevitable massive group fights utilizing champions that do too much.
