Those were enjoyable and excellent showings of some really skillful wave riding and launching which proved the person's performing them are very experienced and knowledgeable about Windsurfing.
These videos are real swell. I prefer kiting, but I prefer windsurfing videos by a ways. Less cheesy tricks and more flowy riding cooked into a really nicely made video. Kudos.
This is such an amazing travel. I whish I could do a trip with some good friends, do windsurfing in the most beautiful beaches, and come back with amazing memory. Thanks for this video !!
1 mile outside of Rodeo Beach, in Northern California is a place called the Cabbage Patch. No one has ever windsurfed there. It gets huge. It could be an adventure worth looking into with the right conditions. Fog might be an issue. It also only breaks during special periods. ..or the trip could be a total wash. The little orange stones on the beach are semi precious. Hard to find though.
Those waves must've benn an endless pleasure. The only thing is that I saw a seal in the footage, and where seals are, there are for sure also Sharks. I would surf there anyway, those waves are too perfect not to be ridden.
G S yeah a few “ weik aan zee” is probably the best wave spot, pretty consistent wind. Waves are can get up to 3 meters. If your looking for flatwater spots anywhere on the north side of the ijselmeer is great. Especially makkum and stavoren
Probably as good as it can be for Wavesailing. Though I think this wave would be ridden better on boards made of polyurethane and polyester resin. More drive out of turns not so bouncy on the face. Would make the waveriding aspect look so much better.I know the epoxies are light and better for jumps. Some times good stuff gets forgotten.
As a surfer I wasn't sure how windsurfing would work on a hollow point-break that goes on for miles, big waves like Nazarene I can see (afterall tow-in surfing evolved from Windsurfing, places like Jaws of course started off as windsurfing spots because they were the only board riders fast enough to get into the wave) but I imagined more scenarios like 1:40 or having to watch the windsurfers stall a lot so the wave could catch up with them with these compact fast moving waves and was surprised by the maneuverability of the boards and skill of the riders which made the boards seem more compact than they are. Riding a place like Skeleton bay would be hard enough on a surfboard, but with something as potentially clumsy and unwieldy as a sail, it would be an extra challenge.
Long time ago that I have seen such a good movie. It really shows where windsurfing is all about!
Super top uber stellar riding, cinematography and music. Windsurfing really really really deserves more videos like this.
Thanks Bonasia!
min 7:27, the seal thought the surf was too damn good too, to not claim it !
That's a way cool video, reminds me of old surfer footage. That is what windsurfing is all about.
Awesome footage, edit and riding. Thanks for this!
