I love how because this show is mostly improvised, Hugh Dennis had no idea what the actress playing Karen meant when she said "Not until Dad does his thing" so when he said "What thing?" that was his actual reaction! I love how much the three kids were laughing though - I thought the actor who played Ben was going to start crying with laughter!
Love it the the kids are really cracking up. XD!
Judi O'Regan well the majority of this show was improv! They got given a few lines and a general outline of the show, but apart from that it was just whatever went! The actress playing Karen (I've forgotten her name) just said "not until daddy does his thing", something unexpected by everyone, and no one knew Hugh was going to do a dinosaur impression until he did it

Always thought the kid's reactions were genuine. They probably had never seen him do it before. Probably didn't know what his 'thing' was.
They are genuine
It was so genuine, you could tell that Claire Skinner hadn’t seen it before too. Hugh and Claire just gelled perfectly on Outnumbered it’s no surprise that they are now in a relationship together
