Beruthiel could be okay, but she doesn’t scale with focus so the effectiveness isn’t as great as Sauron + the rest of her skill toolbox isn’t as good in my opinion
Find ways to break white council is way more effective, you can get rid of it in round 1 or 2 and overrun, running 1 point into some skills just to have extra damage instance or troops like fellbeast that proc 2 stack each attack
It's not really because of the order things are done in, it's just because this is multiplication instead of addition. Example: -50% damage means you are dividing by 2. To balance that you would need to multiply by 2. So -50% (aka, divide by 2) is equal to +100% (aka, multiply by 2). The takeaway is still the same though: You can't compare +10% and -10%, and the +% needs to be a lot bigger than the -% to match.
Defense and % damage reduction are related but they are not the same. Raising defense is good however it is more impactful when the damage is close: increasing defense when your enemy has much more attack already won’t have as much effect as it’s on the right side of the equation shown in this video.
I know this is an old video and you probably won't read this, but if you do..... do you or anyone you know (or have a guess) as to how damage is calculated? What is the difference between commander damage and attack? Obviously you get both as high as possible, but when upgrading and you have a choice of say +1-2 more commander damage, or like 8 more attack.... what's better? I can't for the life of me find anything on this
@@GoDirectly2Jail we don’t know the exact damage formula unfortunately, it seems to be significantly more complicated than classic. It roughly seems to be: Final_Damage= [%DMG_skill x Damage_stat / ( 150 - Com_LVL )] x [ 1 + (ATK - DEF) x if{ATK >DEF ; 0.014; 0.006} ] x [1 + Sum_of_DMG_modifiers] For example : - Attacker with following stat : - Skill dealing 200% physical damage, - Damage = 48 (Average) - Attack stat = 220 - Damage modifier = +35% - Commander LVL = 50 - Defender with following stats : - Defense Stat = 130 - Damage modifier = -45% Final_Damage = [ 200 x 48 / (150-50)] x (1 + (220-130) x 0.014) x [1+ (35% - 45%)]
@@GoDirectly2Jail so to answer your question more simply, there is no right or wrong as it depends on your opponent, and where your stats are. If you have 260 attack and only 23-25 damage. Then you’d definitely sacrifice attack for damage. But if you had 40-60 damage, and only 150 attack, you’d probably do better with additional attack. About 210-230 attack seems to be the sweet spot before returns fall off. So you should aim for this sort of level. But of course, if you face something like great beasts Frodo, that drop off from 260 attack will be less as the high unit defence will make your massive attack more applicable
are there any good-side anti-damage reduction commanders, such as Sauron. I play RP and i constantly see the same 2 setups: GTW, Dain, Gimli, Falgin or Eomer, Denethor, Theoden, Imrahil. Its getting stale and other formations keep losing. Im still experimenting and i like Elrond, cirdan, celeborn and gil a lot, but its definitely not as good
I notice that shadow has talent that called numenirian, it does focus damage, But that talent also has -6 defence -10 attack, is it worth it? I menat maybe that skill may be in use becouse of that?
Sorry slow response, I didn’t get the comment notification until now for some reason! -6defence and -10 attack isn’t a huge difference when you consider that meta comms like dain usually have 220+ attack
would this be the same with beruthiels r5 skill? thanks mate great video

Good video bro, very usefull for the community!
Thank you!
Can you explain How damage is between attack and defence. And How much does a weapon with extra damage do to an fight
Thank you! For this.
Great info. Thanks for the report!

Wow thank you for this
Great Information as always HJW 👍🏻 much appreciated
No problem, thank you for the continued support!
been stacking defence on DDs today with good results... Nice video and explanation of the math also.
commander or troop defence?

Interested to see result comparisons!

@TheHJWgaming holy smokes man thanks for the reply! That's an awesome breakdown i appreciate it!

Pity i only has evil comanders
Damage mitigation of your team versus damage increase of enemy team = overall damage multiplier corrct
Think it’s individual formations and units at the point of attack, rather than an overall multiplier
Thought thats how it always worked lol
Doesnt mean everyone knew about it!
