I live in chicago now on the eastside, I was doing well for myself this year doing delivers, had a girlfriend, had a good credit, and was planning on moving out, but it all fumbled one by one in the summer There were two attempted car jackings and robberies on me, I had 3 guns pulled on me with girl she got so terrified she left me, my car was hit and run twice and even broken into two week. I lost my main source of income and have been in pain, so my credit score dropped significantly with my car now currently in the realm of repo, i don't have any real support from my parents or anyone to help me during this difficult time. I knew that from beginning tho which is why I worked so hard to build, but moral of the story you can't build when all people around you do is take, It would have been smarter for me to move before doing ANYTHING at all., and now im trapped. There's a term called excess labor in sociology where you have a percentage of a population that exceeds what's necessary for the job prospects or they don't have the marketable skills for that region, or in some more modern cases they aren't properly assimilated to legitamate workforce. With these people the excess labor runs the streets or gets locked up or gets killed. Chicago is full of excess labor. People under the poverty line not employed at all or underemployed. It's not that there's a lot of black ppl and latin minorities in chicago...it's that usually black people and latins are more likely to have less marketable skills, government supplemented income, low socioeconomic status, and more reason to engage in criminal activity that will benefit them financially. And when you have a large amount of low income people in one county like 10-15 million way at or below poverty a criminal subculture develops. Violence is normalized and even a source of pride. Not being brazenly violent and vengeful is looked at as weak clown shit in these kind of places. I live in Dallas and even South dallas is not that bad. Because we have opportunity within reach and we don't have the same subculture brewing over here. We have hope that people in Chicago are conditioned to think doesn't exist, so they just persist in their bullshit. Ideally they should elect conservative government and probably shake down the whole city but who knows who is getting paid off and what the real agenda is over there

I lived in Roseland from 1991 til 2011 when I moved across the border to Northwest Indiana (South Lake County). Been living there well over 10 years & I don’t regret it. I only go to Chicago to work, visit family & friends but I mainly stay in the crib. I know there’s crime everywhere but I stay vigilant & watch my surroundings.

They go to the original means of taking. They go into a predatory tribal nature aka gangs and take from others or do blackmarket commerce. There's a term called excess labor in sociology where you have a percentage of a population that exceeds what's necessary for the job prospects or they don't have the marketable skills for that region, or in some more modern cases they aren't properly assimilated to legitamate workforce. With these people the excess labor runs the streets or gets locked up or gets killed. Chicago is full of excess labor. People under the poverty line not employed at all or underemployed. It's not that there's a lot of black ppl and latin minorities in chicago...it's that usually black people and latins are more likely to have less marketable skills, government supplemented income, low socioeconomic status, and more reason to engage in criminal activity that will benefit them financially. And when you have a large amount of low income people in one county like 10-15 million way at or below poverty a criminal subculture develops. Violence is normalized and even a source of pride. Not being brazenly violent and vengeful is looked at as weak clown shit in these kind of places. I live in Dallas and even South dallas is not that bad. Because we have opportunity within reach and we don't have the same subculture brewing over here. We have hope that people in Chicago are conditioned to think doesn't exist, so they just persist in their bullshit. Ideally they should elect conservative government and probably shake down the whole city but who knows who is getting paid off and what the real agenda is over there

It's so bad ik people who hustle illegally and what not here in Dallas and some of them move to Chicago or expand over there because they have "safer" criminal networks. In the south we have a lot of conservative government that would put thousands of people underneath the jail before it turned to a Chicago lol, but then again we don't have as much as a poverty issue and as many people on government assistance and public transportation. The newer generations that grew up with working parents struggling they choose the subculture of criminality supported by violence. I didn't say it was because they were poor, I'm talking about the largest concentration of poor black people in America, and in a Democrat circus city at that. You can say there are poorer counties but not with as many people living on top of each other with no ownership of nothing, dodging child support, neighborhoods sectioned into gang territories people actually post up and defend, man all I see in Dallas are people going to Chicago to sell dope, guns, and sex workers.
