    Let me be the first to state that the connection with Iranian/Persian or Zoroastrian practices is very speculative, although it was suggested by Jan Veenstra 2002 p. 192. He also stated (p. 191) that "Much of the magical literature from the Arabic world had roots in Persian, Babylonian, and even Far-Eastern magic." The etymology of the word jinn/djinn is also not firmly agreed upon.

    Thank you for your hard work. Do you think the old arabs wore cotton instead of linen for this operation? In india linen was extremely rare, specially during the old times and even now its very very expensive.
    Have even seen any manuscript that tells to make a robe out of cotton instead of linen?
